Pity

an apology

tangled in people's tongues

flipped upside-down

and inside-out.

but, our's made us open our mouths

to the whitest pearls we've ever seen.

hatred for pity,

but their's had to be said.

i don't know which apology would be

the most hurtful to be heard;

one from me

or

one from you.

me to me

or

you to you.

you to me

or

me to you.
