"no mag, I'm not getting out of this bed" Alec whined. "Yes, love. You are." his husband argued softly. "but I want to cuddle, I don't feel like going to the institute." he protested. "I want to cuddle too, but you have a job to do. Sorry baby." Alec was well aware he needed to get up, but he just didn't want to, not today, too tired. "Madzie, sweet pea, come here" Magnus called out, in came their 3ft tall daughter they adopted shortly after Iris didn't qualify as protective and able to care for a child. Magnus walked over to his child and whispered "go jump on daddy, he needs to get up." little Madzie giggled and ran and jumped directly on her other father "wake up daddy! wake up" Magnus laughed, Alec gave him an angry, but playful glare. Alec grabbed Madsy and started tickling her and giving her numerous kisses on the face. "okay, okay I'm awake, go play." Madzieran off to their living room. "Alright, Alexander. Get up before i need to tickle you myself." "I wouldn't mind that" Alec said smoothly painting a smirk across his lips. "yeah, yeah. Get up." Alec huffed but gave in, he got out of bed wearing nothing but boxers and started towards the door. "hey hey, at least put some pants on. We have a daughter." "fine, and Im aware of that" Alec stated putting some joggers on. Magnus chuckled and left the room to make breakfast. "daddy!" Madzie said running towards her dad. "hi my sweet girl" he said picking her up and resting her on his hip. "lets go help papa with breakfast shall we?" She nodded gleefully and they walked into the kitchen. "Mag, i have to be at the institute in 45 minutes. so I'm gonna get dressed, watch the small warlock we are raising please"
"did you really just call our child that"
"i most certainly did."
Magnus chuckled and kissed his husband before Alec walked away to get ready.

at the institute

"Found the cup yet?" Alec asked walking through the doors,
"Nothing yet, Valentine still won't budge" Jace replied.
"can you call Magnus to portal Clary and I to Idris?" Izzy asked. "he's with Madzie, obviously. its fine if she comes yeah?" Alec asked her. "Of course! she's my niece!" "and mine" Jace butted in as Clary walked to the table. "Hey, You and Izzy are going to Idris to talk to Valentine?" Jace asked a bit concerned he didn't want his girlfriend getting hurt, "Yes baby, ill be fine don't worry." Jace nodded. Alec walked away to call his husband. When he got back to the table Izzy looked at him as if asking if he could come, "he should be here in about-" A portal opened in front of him and out walked Magnus and Madzie. "now."
Izzy smiled. "aunt Izzy!" called out Madzie running over to her. "hi princess, how are you?"
"I'm good, and you?"
"I'm great. Go say hi to Jace." Madzie nodded and said hello to Jace and Clary.
"what a polite daughter you have raised, boys. good on you" Izzy said to Alec and Magnus. "We try" Alec chuckled. "Alright Magnus, can you create a portal to Idris please?" asked Clary while her boyfriend was playing with her niece. He's a softy for her. "patience Biscuit, I just got here."
"Sorry, Mag. I just really want to get that damn cup." "I know" with that said Magnus waved his arm in a circle and a portal was made. "thank you." Izzy said to Mag, and Clary and her walked through.

finally Alec thought, work is done. All he wanted to do was be home with his little family. Him, Magnus, and Madzie. "Im off guys." He stated to his siblings and Clary. "going home already?" Izzy asked, she always misses her brother when he goes back to his house. "sorry Izz I'm just super tired and I haven't seen my child the whole day. I miss her."
"I get it, i just miss you sometimes." Alec hugged his sister and kissed her head. "Ill be here tomorrow." She nodded.

"darling, there you are!" Magnus called out to his husband, "Madzie is in bed, but not sleeping. She won't sleep until you tuck her in. Alec smiled, no matter how tired he was, his little daughter was always his priority. Alec crept into Madzie's bedroom and sat on the edge of her bed. "now that I'm here, will you go to bed?" he asked her, she shook her head, "why not?" "I want papa here." Alec grinned, "Mag, get in here."
"whats going on here?" Magnus asked stepping through the door. "Madzie won't sleep without both her dads here." Alec replied. Magnus awed at his child and husband, "Madzie, will you go to sleep now that we are both here?" Alec pleaded, "Yes" she said lying down in her bed. "Go to bed now, darling." Magnus said quietly placing a kiss on her cheek, she nodded and yawned. Alec and Magnus slowly walked out of the room but the door was slammed shut in their faces. They turned around to see Madzie with her hand pointing towards the door.
"daddy, you forgot my kiss goodnight."
