Later that day Lexy came over and we had a pretty long talk.
"So.. he just kissed you out of no where?" she asked.
"Yeah. And it was so awkward because it was my first kiss. It probably wasn't for him but still. he could've told me in advanced he was gonna kiss me, you know? That's why I'm mad. Plus I forgot how late it was and got home at 7:30, so my mom grounded me." I replied.
"Wow... That sucks. But you shouldn't be mad, you had your first kiss! He must really like you if he just did it with out warning Harlow. You might have your first boyfriend soon!"
"Are you crazy? You know I'm not allowed to date. My mom would kill me." I said.
"Which is why you're not gonna tell her." Lexy said leaning back on my bed. "You don't have to listen to everything your mom says, Harlow. Live a little." She smiled.
"I guess.. By the way, you were sick too, right?" I asked her.
"Yeah, but too? Who else was sick?" she replied.
"Amanda told me she was sick.. And she told me that's what she told you."
"Um, well that's not what she told me. She said she was going to southern California for a couple days. And she told me that's what she told you." Lexy said.
"Oh really.. I'm gonna kill her tomorrow." I said angrily. Why would Amanda lie? She can tell Lexy stuff and not me?
"Harlow please don't. You know Amanda. She'll start bitching really bad, she'll even take it out on me." Lexy said worried.
"Sorry Lex. But I have to tell her straight. We're all best friends, and we should be able to tell each other everything. I said to her.
The following day, as soon as I walked in to school, I got right in Amanda's face.
"You bitch! Why would you lie to me?" I said loudly. A few kids stopped to watch. Dyrek was one of them.
Amanda glanced at Lexy, who felt horrible. "Um, what the hell? What did I lie about?" She asked.
"Oh please Amanda. Don't act all innocent. You told me you were sick, which obviously wasn't the case. You were tanning it up in sunny California." I said.
"Okay, fine. I lied to you. But why is it such a big deal? You didn't really need to know." She replied.
"Oh, but Lexy did? I thought we we're all best friends."
"See. This is exactly why I didn't tell you. I knew you would act like this. You've always been jealous of me and my life, because it's obviously way better than yours."
"..You little bitch!" I yelled right before I slapped the shit out of her, and literally pounded her to the ground. That's when everyone started to crowd, and the vice principle came out.
"What is going on here?! Harlow, stop hitting her!" Ms. Valice said as she pulled me off of Amanda. "You're coming to my office. Now."
Amanda started her little fake pity crying, and said, "You're out of your mind Harlow! You can't just go around hitting people! I made way better friends than you in California." She sobbed. What a little whore.
I was in Ms. Valice's office for almost an hour, in which she called my mom, who was sitting right next to me.
"So you beat her up because she lied to you? This is ridiculous. I can't believe you made me leave work for this." My mom said.
"Yes, and I'm sorry to inform you, but we will be suspending Harlow for a week. Then after she gets back she will have 3 days of in-school detention." The vice principle said.
"Oh, you thought you were in trouble before? Just wait 'til we get home. I'm sorry about this Ms. Valice. Thank you for calling me." My mom said as she got up and left the office.
"Now get to class Harlow, we won't be seeing you for a while."
