"Oh my God Lex... you're joking right?" I said bewilderedly.
"No." she said looking at her feet.
I grabbed her arm, "We're going to the hospital right now."
"No, we don't need to!" she said trying to escape my grasp, but I wouldn't let her.
"Um, yes we do. We need to find out if you're-" I paused to look around me then lowered my voice. "Pregnant."
She sighed and gave in. "Fine. But who's gonna take us? We need an adult."
I thought for a second and that's when it hit me. Ashton is the only one out of us who has a fake ID. Don't ask me how, he just does. He claims he has 'connections.' So I called him up and he said to meet him at the hospital in 10.
"Alright, just go in there with her, show them your ID, and sit in the waiting room with me for the results." I said to Ashton as we all stood outside the hospital.
"Ashton." Lexy said hesitantly as she stopped him before walking inside.
"Please don't tell anyone about this."
"Don't worry about it." he said, giving her a warm smile as we all walked inside.
Ashton and I sat in an awkward silence in the waiting room for about 30 minutes. We aren't all that close, so there usually isn't anything for us to talk about. Joy over took me when I saw Lexy walk out of the room. She took a deep sigh before speaking.
"I'm pregnant." She said in nearly a whisper.
Later that day Lexy and I were sitting in her room, as her face was buried in my shoulder, having my shirt suck up all her tears. I had my arms supportively around her, being comforting.
"Har, what am I gonna do? My mom will murder me in 5 different ways and then sacrifice me to satan." she said with a weak voice.
"I don't know babe." I said stroking her hair. "But.. You'll have to tell your mom. There's only so many things you can keep from her but another human growing in your stomach isn't one of them."
"Yeah." she said finally sitting up, whipping her teary face. "I just need some time. But you have to be there with me." she sniffed.
"You know I will." I said giving her a slight smile. "Hey, it's getting late so I should get going before my mom flips out. And when you're read to tell your mom, call me." I said exiting her room.
"I will." she smiled.
As I walked in my house I flopped down on my bed, thinking of my own problems. Only a couple hours ago, my boyfriend kicked me out of his house, and he hasn't called apologizing or anything since then.
I'm terrified, because I love him and I don't wanna lose him. And if he felt the same way he would apologize sooner or later. But until then I'm just gonna wait, because I'm stronger than being that girl who goes back go her boyfriend begging for forgiveness.
The next day at school, I tried my best to avoid Dyrek. I needed him to know that I was hurt from what he did. That's when I saw him exit the boys bathroom making his way towards me.
"Hey Har." He said.
"Hi." I said in a low voice.
"I wanted to talk to you."
"I'm really not in the mood for talking." I said snappy, continuing my walk to class.
"Well can you please at least let me apologize?" he said trailing behind me.
"You can apologize all you want but it won't change anything." after I said that, I didn't hear a response. I just saw Dyrek from the corner of my eye standing in the middle of the hallway looking at me in awe, with kids rushing and pushing past him trying to class. I felt bad about what I just did, but if he loved me and wanted me back, he would put up more of a fight.
