Chapter 20 - The Real Date

Landry's P.O.V.

It was now Friday and tonight I'd go out with Ricky on a date, a real date this time. Oh how the tables has turned since last year. I was now in school, searching for my Biology book in my locker with Lauren next to me. All of a sudden I heard a familiar voice behind me.

"Okay so I thought we could have a sleepover tonight at my place tonight! Row and Sab already said they'd love to come so what about you guys?" Chloe said cheerfully.

I turned around to face her and so did Lauren.

"Oh that sounds like so much fun, of course I'll come!" Lauren said and smiled.

"Yay! What about you Lands?" Chloe said.

"I uhm... I don't think I can tonight" I said and bit my lip.

"Why not?" Chloe asked.

"We have this family thing, some relatives are coming over for some gathering which I have to be at" I lied.

"Oh, okay I see. Maybe we could have the sleepover tomorrow instead then? I mean, It won't be that fun if not all of our gang was there so" Chloe said.

"Tomorrow is perfect!" I said and smiled.

In that moment the bell rang.

"Oh, what class do you guys have now?" Chloe said.

"Biology with Rowan" I said.

"Oh, I have Home ecs with Sab. I'll see you girls later, bye" Chloe said.

Chloe left and I turned to Lauren as I grabbed my biology book and closed my locker.

"Let's go to the classroom and meet up with Rowan" I said.

Lauren agreed and we walked towards the classroom together.

Now school was over and I stood at home infront of my mirror. It was almost 7 pm and Ricky would be here in any minute. I was wearing a black dress with my black chelsea boots. My hair was down and in it's natural waves and of course my lips where red. In that moment the door bell went off and I heard my mom greeting Ricky. I grabbed my coat and  little bag and walked out to the hall.

"Hi" I said and smiled at Ricky who stood in the doorway.

"Hey, ready to go?" He said.

"Yeah" I said and nodded.

I said goodbye to my parents and followed Ricky downstairs to his car. We then drove for about 15 minutes until Ricky parked the car next to the park. We got out and Ricky lead me towards a restaurant. We entered a fancy and romantic italian restaurant and Ricky had reserved a table for us. We sat down, ordered our food and then talked. We had such an amazing time and my pasta carbonara was so delicious. After we had dessert we decided to take a walk through the park. As we walked there hand in hand I looked up at Ricky.

"I've really enjoyed tonight" I said.

"Me too"

In that moment Ricky spotted a street performer who was playing violin abit away. He let go of my hand and turned around to face me.

"May I have this dance?" He asked and stretched out his hand.

"You're so cheesy" I said and giggled.

"I know, so what's your answer?" He said and winked.

"Yes you may" I said and took his hand.

We began slow dancing around to the music and I smiled widely. As the violin player stopped playing I looked up at Ricky and all of a sudden he leaned down and kissed me passionately. I kissed him back and the kiss was long and sweet. After we pulled away Ricky grabbed both of my hands.

"Landry, will you be my girlfriend?" He said and caressed my hands slowly.

"I'd love to be your girlfriend" I said and smiled widely.

He smiled widely back and then picked me up in a tight hug while spinning me around. We spent some more time in the park before walking back to the car. Later that night after Ricky had dropped me off at home I lied in my bed with the biggest smile. Last September I'd never have guessed that I'd end up with Ricky at all but I guess if it's meant to be it truly are.
