Landry's P.O.V.
It was now the next friday which meant I'd go on a date with Ricky. I had lied to the girls and told them I couldn't come to a party with them because it's my cousin's birthday. I was now standing in my room. The clock was almost 7 pm which meant that Ricky would be here in any minute. I was wearing my blue mom jeans together with a oversized knitted sweater. I had put up my hair in a messy bun and wore no makeup at all. I glanced over at my red lipstick who where laying at my desk. I grabbed it and walked back to the mirror and started to apply it but after a few seconds I stopped. I looked at myself and wiped off the lipstick. I don't want to be on this date and I don't want him to think that I dressed up for him. I'm going wearing comfy clothes and no fixed hair or makeup because he's not worth that effort I'd put in when looking more nicely. All of a sudden my phone buzzed so I looked at it. It was a text from Ricky.
I'm outside now 😘
I shook my head at the kiss emoji and took my crossbody bag over my shoulder and headed to the hallway.
"Where are you going honey?" My mom said from the livingroom.
"I'm going out to meet up with a friend. I won't be out too late. I promise" I said as I slipped into my black chelsea boots and took on my warm coat.
"Okay have fun sweetie" She said.
I said bye and walked out of the apartment. I took the elevator down and then walked out from the building. There I immidiately noticed Ricky's car. I made my way over to it, opened the door and got inside to the passenger seat.
"Hey" He said and smiled.
"Hello" I said as I buckled my seat belt.
"You look beautiful" He said as he drove off.
"Thanks..." I replied and looked at out of the window.
The rest of the car journey was quiet and the only sound that came was the music from the radio. After 20 minutes Ricky stopped the car and we got out. He got a picnic basket from the trunk and showed me to a bench. We where now on a hill and from this bench you could almost see the whole city of San Antonio. The view was amazing.
"Wow, the view is amazing up here" I said.
"I know right. It's my secret little place. I like to come up here to think and be alone" He said.
I walked over to the bench and sat down next to him. He handed me a blanket and I took it.
"Why did you bring me here then? I mean, if it's your special place where you are alone at?" I asked.
"I don't know, I guess I just wanted to share it with you. It could maybe be our spot? If you promise to not tell anyone about it" He said.
"Oh I see, and I won't. Don't worry" I said.
"Hot chocolate?" He asked as he reached out a cup to me.
I didn't take it so he put it on the bench next to me instead. There was a little silence and I looked out on the town of San Antonio.
"Do you see that house over there? Next to the church?" He said.
I nodded.
"The lady who lived there used to babysit me when I was younger when my parents where fighting or when my brother did his weird stuff. The house where so big and creepy. People said it's haunted and that the old lady was a witch. When I was there I saw some pretty weird stuff and it terrified the hell out of me. When I was 12 the lady moved away and since then I haven't been there. I'm pretty sure the house is just standing there empty right now" He said.
