My eyes squeezed shut as the two warm arms wrapped around me. Succumbing to my feelings; I let the happiness flood my body. The gentle stroke on my back encouraged me as I stepped out of the hug to face everyone.
"Welcome back Eli."
With my lips raised only slightly, I slipped through the thin bodies up to my room. Throwing myself onto the bed, I was surprised when I didn't hear a groaning noise coming from it, due to buckling under my weight.
Hours passed by, pages covered in scriblings - all of them a reminder of the past. A soft hand brushed on my bony shoulder,
"Dinner time" he announced in the sweetest voice.
Fumbling around, I shoved my paper under the bed and felt the hand on the small of my back.
"I missed you, you know?"
All eyes dropped to the table in front of them and the conversation stopped. I took my seat next to Luke, I felt Tilly's eyes staring at me as she walked over and slammed herself down in the only leftover seat.
No one made any attempt at starting a conversation as we all picked at our food. Luke nudged my hand under the table,
"We're finished" he muttered to the girls while he pulled me up and out of the room with him.
"Hey! Where are we going?" I started, attempting to release his grip on my wrist. We got to the swing in the back garden and in one motion he sat down and pulled me onto his lap.
"No. No let me off i'll squish you"
"Eli, there could be ten of you sat on me and I wouldn't even feel it." He chuckled, "So, tell me. How come you came back?"
"I missed you.." I mumbled.
"What was that?" His face lit up, "Is 'Miss. I hate the world' finally feeling something other than hate?"
I hid my head in his shoulder. And for once I finally appreciated what I had on this world. Our fingers laced together and the warmth from his hand spread through to mine.
A tiny whisper escaped my mouth,
"I missed you so much."

New story based off 'To the bone' from Netflix. It's probably awful so I apologise for any spelling or grammar mistakes along with if I mess up the story line or change things that happened in the movie. This Chapter is just a short one to get everything started, the next will be longer and a lot better. Hope you enjoy.
