I slammed my palm down on the table. With all my weight, I pushed the heavy chair back and stormed off up the stairs.

I couldn't believe this was happening. My mind tore in two pieces. I had been convinced to eat. If I eat, I only get fatter. It's bad enough that I had been slacking off my sit-ups. I could feel the weight resting on my stomach, my thighs, my arms. Dragging me down towards to floor. I scrunched into a ball, trying to drown out the hunger pains that i'd grown so accustomed to.

I could hear the sound of knives and forks clattering downstairs. No one had bothered following me. I scrambled under my bed and pulled out the notepad. The ink seemed to flow from my fingers as the pictures appeared in front of my eyes.

A girl, floating in the sky. She looked like the perfect girl - skinny and happy. But something was different. She had weights attached to every available piece of her body.

The clouds seem to bounce around in the sky, Id been watching for over a half hour by now and was amazed at how beautiful nature could be. The birds squawking in the trees and the trees themselves with their striking green leaves.

Giving up on the hope that Luke would come for me, and show he cared. I climbed off the bed and wandered down the stairs. I fell onto the sofa in the front room and watched everyone as they filtered in after breakfast.

"So you came back down did you?" Luke asked.

I quickly nodded, not in the mood to deal with his usual sunshine self.

Lobo walked in and beckoned Anna to follow, her face paled, as did the rest of ours, at the thought of being checked. I had been maintaining for a while, Luke mention if you maintained or gained you get to level up. Maybe I could level up and return his dates. But did I really want that?

Lobo walked back in and pointed for me to leave. Luke's hand patted my knee before I got up. My stomach fluttered and I walked towards the dreaded room.

"Step on Eli" She instructed. I placed my feet on the scale and watched. The number rose and my breath caught in my throat. As soon as I could, I sped out of the room and ran into Luke's arms. Tears falling freely.
