"Wake up!" I heard. "Contessa, please! Wake up!" I opened my eyes to Nikki and Rachel. That's weird. . . What were they doing here? And where was Lunarìa. . .I spotted her leaning on the wall with an angry expression on her face. "I tried to stop them," she said and brushed her pale curls out of her face. "What are you doing here?" I asked, looking back at my friends. Nikki felt my forehead. "She's burning up." She said to Rachel. "I'll take her temperature," Rachel said and whipped out a thermometer. Why does she even have one?

"No!" I said quickly. "Why not?" Rachel asked. "Because I think I'm gonna throw up?" Their eyes widened. I expected them to run away screaming like my other princess friends back in Staria. But no. Nikki and Rachel carried me upstairs (with Lunarìa's help. I was, after all, "thick") and to the bathroom. They patiently waited for me. "Well go on." Nikki urged. "Throw up." Rachel said impatiently. Correction: Nikki waited for me patiently along with Lunarìa.

So I thought of every gross thing I'd seen in my life and pretty soon, I was hurling my guts into the toilet. When I finished, I brushed my teeth and walked downstairs. But my footsteps felt wrong. Uneven. I looked at my feet under my sick gown and frowned when I saw one was covered with a chunk of ice.

Lunarìa quickly unfroze it. "Guys, I'm fine. Why are you here?" "Lunarìa told us you were sick. We wanted to see if you were alrigh!" Nikki cried. She was the overdramatic one. Rachel rolled her eyes as Nikki said loudly, "we were worried about you!" "I was worried about you. Nikki only came because she knew Lunarìa was going to be here." Lunarìa pushed her fake glasses up her nose. "Hey," Nikki said, staring at Lunarìa. "Didn't your hair used to be darker?"

"Hey Nikki, I have a fun idea!" I interjected. "Ooh, what is it?" She squealed. Nikki's attention span. . . you should see her in class. One time she raised her hand to answer a question, but then she noticed a dead bug on the floor began a rant about not killing bugs for the rest of class. It was really funny. She was screaming, "who did ?" and "why?!?!" The whole class's was egging her on, it was amazing.

"I was thinking we could go to the mall." The words tasted like lava coming up my throat. How do I know what lava tastes like, you ask? Ask my older sister, Lunarìa. She'll tell you all about it. Nikki squealed again and stood. "What are you gonna wear???" She questioned excitedly. "Hmmm," I said. "Follow me."

I took them to my room and opened the huge walk in closet. "Woaaaah!" Nikki and Rachel said as they walked in. They looked around, gasping at everything they saw. They picked out a short black skirt and a black off the shoulder top. "I am not wearing that!" I said. "That skirt is too short." "Fine," Nikki pouted. "How bout this?" Rachel held up some dark black jeans. "Sure," I said. She squealed, and said," I told you she would choose min-" She stopped. I froze too. A soft, lilting note caught my ear."Ugh, Lunarìa! " I groaned. Nikki looked past me outside the window. "There," was all she said. She and Rachel threw open the window. "Guys! No!" I said. But they were already falling.

I cursed and leapt after them. They were sprawled on their backs, blood leaking from them as they clawed wildly at the air. Lunarìa was gripping the balcony railing, her white knuckles even whiter as she sang. "Luna, stop it!" I screeched at her. She turned to me, and that single note split into a chord that demanded submission from me. I cried out as my knees hit the pavement. Lunarìa's eyes were wide as she clawed at herself.

Her voice took hold of my mind, driving me crazy, filling me with the urge to smash my head repeatedly. Nikki began scraping her back on the ground, even though tears flooded her eyes. "Luna, stop it!" I screamed. "You're going to kill them. Lunarìa clawed at hr throat and choked herself, but her voice still spilled from her like warm honey.

I screamed in torture. The little edge of sanity I was clinging to was quickly crumbling. " Lunarìa, please." I begged. The world went hazy and I let go of the little cliff. My face slammed into the asphalt. I heard a satisfying crunch as my nose broke, and more crunches as I kept slamming my face. Blood pooled around me, staining my clothes, my hands. I screamed again. I had to stop. I would stop. I stopped my head in my hands and opened my mouth.

A sweet, liquid melody poured out. Lunarìa whirled around. It was dangerous to challenge her. She had the best voice in all of Staria. But I still sang with my heart. I sang the Tale of the Fires, a song my mother used to sing to me, while she would teach Lunarìa the Song of the Ice. Then entries to teach us the other songs, but we wouldn't learn them. Lunarìa thrust out a hand.

Icicles, long and sharp shot out. Alright Lunarìa, you wanna fight? A fire blanket easily melted those to sleep. She thrust out her hand again and snow blew at me in full force. I lashed out my fire, slicing through the blizzard with a fire whip. She glowered at me. "Why are you doing this?" I sang to her. But I knew she wouldn't understand. Couldn't understand. She pulled her hand back to her and held her palm up to the sky. Ice and snow formed around her palm. Uh oh. I knew what she was doing, and it wasn't a simple little blizzard.

"Lunarìa, don't." I sang. She did. She let the ice spread all over her body, and then she slammed her palm upon the earth. The ice exploded from her, turning our whole block into a frozen wasteland. I shivered. The fire in my veins grew sluggish, bending to her will. I heard my voice crack, felt it diminish into nothing as our whole block became a frozen wasteland. The Tale of the Fire did not deserve to be sung by someone like me. But it does, a voice poked at the back of my mind.

Why do you think only you inherited the fire that sang in your mother's blood? To calm her ice. And when you need calming the ice will sing you to sleep. I nodded. Slowly got up again. I opened my mouth and sang a breath of fire. Lunarìa faltered, but did not stop. Almost all of the the neighborhood was frozen now. I looked at Nikki and Rachel, frozen. Their eyes stared upward, unseeing. I felt tears burn my eyes. We weren't actual friends but it still hurt.

I felt those tears roll down my cheeks. But they were fire tears of rage. How could Lunarìa do this? She knew how much this mattered to me and yet- and yet-

Of course! I understood now! I wiped away the tears and felt a tickle in my back. Wings of fire spread behind me. Lunarìa grinned maliciously as wings of ice spread behind her.

Hey peoples, how you doing?? No, I was not feeling sad for this chapter. This song is just how I imagined Lunarìa's voice to be.

I remember one day imagining this song mashed up with Alphabet Boy by Melanie Martinez and I thought "OH MY GOSH! IT GOES PERFECTLY TOGETHER!" And I spent like several months searching for that song. I remembered my cousin played it a lot. So I asked her what it was.

She didn't know what I was talking about, so I sang the melody of the "chorus" and then she was like, "oh!" End she plays it and I sang Alphabet Boy with the song and it matched so perfectly. If I knew how to make music and how to mash up music, I would've made that mash up already.

Since I couldn't do that, I sang in my chorus class and played the piano. Not to brag, but everyone loved it!

But yeah this is Luna's voice and I think its pretty neat. This song is a remix of a song from Tuna. The real version I don't really like, but I still listen to it.

Anyway this all I will write for today peeps! Adios😘!
