01 - Clue

Chapter One:

     Clue

Raku woke up by one of Chitoge's noises along with Marika's. He stood up his bed and looked at the sleeping Shuu. He made a slight grin and got a pen.

He doodles over Shuu's face and went out immediately. Outside, he was grinning from corner to corner. He respects Shuu's dignity that's why he can't laugh.

"Beansprout!!" Chitoge screamed at the hallway while dragging her stuffed toy that looks like a gorilla.

"You're bringing that along?" Raku asked chuckling at the end. Chitoge glared at him.

"Well, that doesn't matter. You're in a good mood today." she said, looking at Raku.

"I don't know. Maybe I doodled at Shuu's face to get my stress out." Raku said, stretching his hands.

"Really?!" Chitoge asked.

"Don't worry too much." Raku said, smiling at Chitoge.

"Beansprout, good morning!" Chitoge greeted with a toothy smile. It was simple but it was a little attractive.

"Ojou! Breakfast is ready!" Tsugumi wailed.

"Okay!" Chitoge responded while going to the table. She took a quick glance at the vending machine and looked at Raku fidgeting while talking to Onodera.

It was a Summer trip for her friends. They currently live in a rest house by her family. Little did she know that there's a lot of things will happen.

"Tsumugi, I'll look around for a bit." Chitoge said, waving at Tsumugi.

"But Oujou! The food!" Tsugumi shouted.

"I'll eat later." Chitoge said with a wink.

"Sheesh. Ojou, what are you going to do?" Tsugumi asked in her mind.

Chitoge went up in the upper basement alone. It wasn't dark so it was false alarm for her. The sun's rays entered the windows and Chitoge looked around until she found a picture.

"Hmm?? Raku?" she asked in her mind. She looked at the picture and it was she and Raku together.

"Whoa! It's true! It's me and Raku! And I have brown eyes." she thought.  

** Chitoge Kirisaki  **

At the time Raku had an amnesia, he said that the girl he met years ago had brown or black eyes. And when I was young, I had brown eyes. My eyes got blue because of puberty. That's what Dad said. [A/N: This was introduced in the manga, this is a true plot. Chitoge had brown eyes when she was younger and had blue eyes when she got older and Raku had amnesia (only for I guess, two days?)]

I have a chance. I looked closely at the picture and I have Kosaki-chan's key. Why did I have her key?

I looked at my present key and it wasn't a heart shape. In the picture, my key was heart shaped, and it's Kosaki-chan's key. What's the meaning of this?

I looked around if I could get references. I looked around and there's dust all over me. But I have to look.

I swept a small box and read the things in top of it. 'My memories -Chitoge'

I opened it and saw the book we saw in Kosaki-chan's room. Zawsze in love, I knew it! I know this word and I know this book.

I went down and looked for the others. "Tsugumi!! Raku!! Kosaki-chan? Marika?" I yelled out. There wasn't anyone who responded.

I went to the shore with the picture with me and Raku. I saw Raku and ran to him. "Raku!! Look at this!!" I yelled, tears in my eyes.

"Chitoge?! What's the matter?" Raku asked. "H-here. Take a look at this." I said while handing him the picture.

"It's us. And you have brown eyes." Raku said. "When you had amnesia, you told me, the girl you met years ago had brown or black eyes." I said.

"And look at this. I have Kosaki-chan's key!" I said, pointing where I was holding the key in the picture.

"You're right. How come?" Kosaki-chan asked, surprised. "I don't know." I replied.

"This is confusing." Ruri said. "But Ojou, why?" Tsugumi asked. I shook my head.

"Where did you find this?" Raku asked.

"Up in the upper basement. I saw this and I saw the book. Raku, Zawsze in love." I said, looking at him with the expression that I don't know.

** Raku Ichijou POV **

"Up in the upper basement. I saw this and I saw the book. Raku, Zawsze in love." she said with a expression that I was so familiar with.

That expression... when have I encountered it before? Then a shard of memory pained my mind.

"I don't like the ending."

What? Right now? Seriously? "Chitoge, let's go to where you found this." I asked Chitoge.

"Okay!" she said. We followed her and I felt that Marika was quiet not like the usual. What's wrong?

** Marika Tachibana POV **

About the keys. I have known since Raku-sama had amnesia. I kept quiet until now. But... should I tell them?
