A Demon Maid

Chapter Four

Coraline hopped off my shoulder and ran after Grell.

"Well that was weird hey Scarlet how do you know that girl?"  Astrid asks curiously.

"Oh I known her back in hell she was the only friend I had, then one day she didn't come back. It's nice to see her again", I reply with a smile. I hold the necklace tight Astrids eyes wander to the necklace. 

"Oh my god that's so pretty!", she touches part of it and her eyes widen turning blue she passed out. 

"Oh my god no! Finnian go get Ciel quick!" Panicking Finnian runs down the hallway. 

"Wake up! Wake up!" I started shaking her passed out body. Trying to wake her up but she didn't wake.

Astrid's P.O.V

Scarlet was holding a pretty necklace I reached out to get a better look, then all I see is white. I felt my legs give out like jello. I fell to the floor then pictures appeared in front of me. A girl and boy playing in the garden.

"Where am I? Why am I here?" looking at the girl and boy play in the garden.

Wait that is me and that little boy Ciel? 

The picture disappeared and another one formed. A man and woman in cloaks, holding the little girl in the man's arms sleeping. A woman answered the door joy filled her face. She took the girl in her arms taking her inside the house. The man and woman ran back inside to their carriage crying.  

"Now Ciel will be the only one to remember his sister Astrid", the man said to the crying woman.

 "She's safe now", the woman said between her cries. 

Ciel is my brother?! 

I saw the white disappearing I opened my eyes, to see in front of me Scarlet and everyone else.

Normal P.O.V

Her eyes slowly open she looks tired she slowly closes her eyes again falling into a deep sleep. Finnian stays by her side holding her hand. I felt a hand grab my wrist, Ciel pulls me to the side and grabbed the necklace out of my hand. 

"Where did you get this?!", anger filled his voice. 

"I just found it I thought it wasn't important so I took it" I answer honestly. He looked mad and held the necklace tighter. 

"Do you have any idea what you have done?!!" I shook my head. 

"Mom and dad gave her a pill so she'll never get her memory back, so she won't remember anything not even me" his face saddened. 

"I'm sorry Ciel I was careless I deserve punishment", I bow my in apology. 

"No that won't be necessary she'll be fine but she might remember, what she is and her ability" he went to the sleeping Astrid. He gently puts the necklace around her neck. He put his hand on her forehead and sighed. 

"She needs rest just take care of her okay Finnian?" 

"Yes sir!" Finnian saluted and went back to Astrid, we left the room. We enter the ball area to see Grell bothering Sebastian and Sebastian does not look amused. 

"Oh hey Grell um what are you doing?" He looked my way and came up to me. 

"Hey Scarlet I'm just talking to my Bassy~", his face was red and he was swooning over Sebastain. My chest sent a sharp pain throughout my body. Fighting the urge to bend over in pain I smile. 

What's with my feelings today? Well I was once human so that might be it....right? 

I head outside to see Coraline and Pluto playing fetch. The pain in my chest dies down when I breathe in the air. 

I hope Astrid is okay 

The wind blows my hair as I watch the two play I felt a hand on my shoulder. I look up to see it's Grell smiling.

"Hey Grell what are you doing out here?" Grell stands next to me.

"You doing okay? You looked like you were in pain back there"

Shit he noticed?

I smile and wave it off.

"I'm okay I just needed some air that's all" silence filled the air between us.

"So Scarlet I don't know anything about you so why don't we talk?" I felt my cheeks turn a rosey red nodded. 

"Okay good so where you from?"

"I was born and raised in Ireland, but when I died and became a demon. I followed milady around and ended up here in London" 

"So you're Irish? I noticed you had an accent just didn't know it was Irish", I smiled at him. He asked more questions that I happily answered. The sun was starting to set. 

"It's getting late I should go check on Astrid", before I could go he grabbed my wrist wrapping his arms around me. My face felt like it was on fire his grip tightened around my body. 

"But I like talking to you Scarlet plus your face all red it's cute", he smiled winking at me my face felt like it might explode. 

"B-but I g-got to go" I stuttered he still didn't let go, I struggled to get out of his arms but his grip just got tighter. I finally gave up I let him hug me, the sunset was replaced by a midnight blue sky. Covered by stars that looked like little glass shards sparkling in the night, I don't know why but right now I felt comfortable here in Grell's arms. I felt my stress fading away my face still red I bury my face in his chest. I don't know why but his scent was covered by ladies perfume, which made me nauseous. Although my heart denies it. It beats so fast I think he can hear it, he lets go of me smiling my face felt like flames when I saw his smile. 

"I should get um going", I bow my head and start running. I look behind me to see Grell waving a sad smile on his face.
