A Demon Maid

Chapter Eight

I slowly walk to them Grell gave me Astrid my eyes start to tear up. Her shoulder is covered in blood. I rip some of my dress and wrap it tight around her shoulder.I know with my heart in pain I shouldn't but for Astrid I will. I turn into a white wolf with Astrid on my back, we slowly walk to the mansion I kept coughing on the way. More blood came out Grell looked at me concerned. My vision got blurry I started swaying I collapsed. Astrid rolled off my back I turned back to a demon.

Grell was shaking me my vision got more blurry.

"Scarlet get up come one get up please!" my eyes betrayed him, I drift off to sleep. I woke up seeing the same place I was in when I turned into a demon. I'm not floating but I am wearing the same white dress and no shoes. 

"Scarlet Rose I'm disappointed in you I thought you were full of hatred and sins, but you're not" I hanged my head in shame. 

"I'm sorry miss Rose but you're not fit to be a demon", I lifted my head up and said. 

"Fine I may not be fit to be a demon!! But let me at least be on earth. I know it's not my place to say this but", I took a deep breath. 

"I loved it I loved having a soul I'm proud to call her my friend I love everything else. Yeah Sebastian and I might fight but I don't give a crap!!. I learned something even a demon can find love, yes in the past I hated everyone but that was before I met them" I felt tears go down my cheeks. 

"I know my heart isn't supposed to be beating but I can be in love. I know one demon who is in love and she's dating him right now", I thought of how happy Coraline was when Pluto asked her out. I was so happy for them I smile at the thought.

"You know miss Rose you're the first demon to ever stand up to us like that", there was silence then- 

"Miss Rose you won't be just on earth but you'll be a demon as well", shock ran through my body.

"You are strong willed and powerful you'll protect your soul no matter what. That's a true demon", I felt a stinging sensation on my neck and knew that they gave me back my symbol. 

"Now you'll have the same soul however, we'll have to remove your heart to keep this from happening again"

 Fire surrounded my body I was lifted in the air a hand went inside my chest.

"AHHHH!" I scream as the hand pulls out my heart showing how damaged it is. It was scarred and had some holes in it. The fire disappears I fall to the ground holding my chest.

"Now you must rest and go everyone is waiting for you", the room turned white I felt someone shaking me. I slowly opened my eyes to see Astrid crying and shaking me her wound bandaged up. Everyone else was around the bed with worried looks on their faces, Astrid saw that I was awake she hugged me crying into my shoulder. 

"I'm so glad you're okay I thought I lost you", I laugh a little trying not to injure my chest any further.

"I'm a demon it takes a lot more than that to kill me again" she looks at me and smiles, everyone else except Sebastain came around and hugged me. 

Few months later

"I'm so nervous I can't do this!" Astrid is stressing out over the biggest moment of her life. Her wedding day. 

"You'll be fine Astrid just be yourself", Lizzy said apparently Ciel had a fiancee named Elizabeth but she likes to be called Lizzy. 

"Lizzy is right you already look beautiful what else is there to mess up?" Astrid gave me a look I giggled. Astrid is wearing a white dress with red trimmings, and a white veil with black and red roses. She sighs looking in the mirror I walk up behind her putting the necklace around her neck the one her mom and dad gave her. 

"Remember your parents are with you everything will be okay", I whispered in her ear she tears up seeing the necklace and held it tight. The ceremony begins everyone was in formal attire the men were in suits. Coraline, Mey-rin, and I were the bride's maids so we wore the same dress. Which was a red strapless dress with black trimmings with a black rose in our hair. 

We were having an outdoor wedding with a white and red altar with white tables, that had black and red rose petals spread on top with candles in the middle. Everyone was sitting down as Coraline, Mey-rin and I walk down the aisle with bouquets of white roses.  Astrid came down the aisle next since, her dad isn't here to give her away Ciel took the job as her brother. Finnian and Astrid exchanged vows and ended it with a kiss, the sun was setting its lovely colors over this wonderful day. Coraline came to my side with a glass of champagne in hand. 

"I gotta say you picked a good soul and hey I'm sorry Satan ripped your heart out", I shrug my shoulders. 

"It was getting in the way anyway" She sips her glass.

"You don't think I'm babying her do you?" She shakes her head watching the newlyweds dance.

"Before the person dies you gotta have them happy or else the soul isn't gonna be good"

I didn't care about it being bad if she's happy I'm happy. Another slow song starts playing so I didn't really have a place. I look over to the champagne bottle to see it's almost empty, I go inside the mansion to grab another. Bottle in hand I start to head back outside but I didn't. I head upstairs to the balcony the view was beautiful, the wind taking my hair with it. I put the bottle of champagne on the mini table and breath in the beautiful sunset. Watching everyone dance I felt a presence. 

"Why are you up here?" I look up to see Grell he jumped onto the balcony.

"Shouldn't you be down there dancing like everyone else?" I shook my head. 

"I don't have a place in a slow song", he shook his head and took my hand. He twirled me and put his arms around my waist my hands rested on his arms. We were dancing a little more to the rhythm, my arms rested on his neck. I put my head on his chest as we danced. 

"Thanks for always being there Grell" he nods. 

"Um Scarlet I have a confession to make" I look up to see him blushing. 

"What's on your mind?" We stop dancing the wind takes both of our hairs with it. He places his hand on my cheek he leans in his soft lips touches mine. My cheeks are burning up like fire we separate to see a more blushing Grell. 

"I guess you can tell what I wanted to say" I nod and give him a peck on the lips. 

"I love you too Grell", he smiles we danced some more until we stop to see that Astrid, is about to throw the bouquet. All the single ladies were together even Lizzy she threw the bouquet, the one who caught it was Lizzy. Laughing at her complaining to Ciel we enjoy the rest of the night. We all had some troubles example Grell got in trouble for dating me but he didn't care, as long as he's with me he doesn't care if he has a ton of files to fill.

 Astrid and Finnian still live in the mansion. Lizzy and Ciel got married a few years later. The servants are the same as ever.  Coraline and Pluto got engaged, a few months after Lizzy and Ciel's wedding. Sebastian still being an asshole. Me I'm happy that everyone else is happy.
