"Mate, I'm beat." I said trying to get out of whatever my bandmates had in mind.

"Ash, c'mon." Michael, our blue haired guitarist, pleaded. "I need to get laid!"

"What do you call the last time we were at the club?" I scoffed, Mike was always the first one to want to go to the club, and ironically the first one drunk.

"TWO NIGHTS AGO!" Calum, our bassist, called from his bedroom. I rolled my eyes, I knew he was already picking out a shirt to go out.

"Mike." I said firmly. "The press aleady got pictures of us there the other night. It won't look good."

"Ashton I do not care!" I could tell he was getting frustrated with me.It just always seemed like I was the voice of reason. I was always the bad guy for trying to keep our names out of the pap's filthy mouths, and our faces out of those scummy rag mags. The rest of the boys didn't seem to care though, they just lived life the way we did before. Which I don't understand how they do that and not look at what some of these things say about us.

"Besides Calum wants to go too!" Mike continued, "So does Luke!"

"No he doesn't." I muttered. I know the press and stuff gets to Luke, our lead. He's very sensitive about these sorts of things. But he goes along with whatever the other boys are doing. Regardless of how he feels, because he doesn't want to look weak or inferior in front of them. It seems like he always feels like he needs to prove himself to us, because he's the baby of the group. I know he does things he doesn't feel comfortable with just to look good in front of them. No one else seems to notice besides me. I know the only reason he got his lip pierced was because Mike and Cal wouldn't let up on him about how his "mom" wouldn't let him get a tattoo with them. I don't think his mom would've cared that much, he just didn't want a tattoo.

"Ashton come on!" I knew Mike wouldn't let up,

"Yeah Ash, lighten up," A newly dressed Calum walked out. "I think you're the one who needs to get laid, Jesus."

I groaned, "Why do I have to go with you guys?"

I saw a spark in Michael's eye, "You know management wants you to be there. Since you're the responsible one."

I groaned again, I could see Calum smiling from the corner of my eye. "Plus you're the one who has the fake ID."

"FINE." I stood up and grabbed the keys from the counter. "Let's go."

We were at the night club for what already seemed like the entire night, but in reality it was only about an hour.

I sat at the bar, the boys liked it when I stayed in one spot so they knew exactly where to find me when they wanted to buy a girl a drink.

"Can I have a beer please?" I asked the bartender, rubbing my eyes with my palms.

Don't get me wrong, I like clubbing, but I just wasn't in the mood for it today. Maybe Cal was right. Maybe I just needed to relieve some tension with a pretty girl,

I grabbed my beer and I spun around on the stool, scanning the room for a girl to chat up.

No one quite stood out to me, until my eyes caught a flash of pink. I struggled to keep an eye on her, she was short and got lost in the crowd of girls in high heels. Not to mention, she was wearing black.

I hopped off my stool and went to find her, not quite being sure what was hooking me so badly to her.

I pushed passed the hoards of couples grinding to where I had last gotten a glimpse of her. I looked around the room, she had seemingly disappeared.

After about half an hour of manuevering my way around the sweaty bodies, I decided to give up hope and return to my designated post for the night.

"Another beer? Thanks." I handed the bartender the cost as I sat back on my stool.

"Is that all you're drinking tonight cowboy?" Said a voice to my left.

"I'm the designa-" I turned to see the pink-tipped girl I had been chasing for the past half hour. I could finally get a good look at her. She had eyeliner paired with what looked like faded dark red lipstick. There was a diamond stud in her nose, a tattoo of the continents on her right wrist and various braceles on her left wrist. She had brown curls which faded into pink and blue tips. She wore a short black dress paired with combat boots.

"Ah!" She reached up, picked the hat off of my head, and plopped it on her own. "An Australian cowboy. Very hot."

I smiled and lifted an eyebrow at her, "I'm hardly a cowboy."

"Well you know what they say.." She suddenly turned and caught the bartender's attention. "Hey! Can we get two shots of vodka for me and my friend here pleeease!"

"Vodka?" I said shocked, wondering how such a small girl could handle such hard liqour.

"Yeah," She turned her attention from the bartender to me and smirked. "I play hard ball."

"Interesting." I eyed her as I picked up my shot. "And no, what exactly do they say?"

She took her shot without even cringing at the taste, before I could even get mine to my lips.

She smirked up at me again, "Save a horse ride a cowboy."

"Wow." I raised my eyebrows, being taken back at how blunt she was being. "I should shut up then shouldn't I?"

She laughed, then placed her chin in her hand and leaned against the table. "No, your accent is hella sexy."

"So is yours," I cringed at the vodka I just knocked back. "What's your name love?"

"Aspen." She smiled revealing deep dimples.

"Aspen? Very interesting. I'm-"

"Ashton." I felt a tap on my shoulder, but I already knew who it was.

"Ashtonnnn we're ready to go hooomeee." Said a drunken Michael, who was arm and arm with some brunette. Calum was not too far behind with a blonde.

"Alright, do you know where Luke is?" I asked massaging my forehead, trying to not leave anyone behind- that was the last thing we needed. A drunken band member aimlessly roaming around the streets of Miami.

"I dunno." Mike slurred.

"Wait, Luke wouldn't happen to have blonde hair, massive shoulders and about yay high?" She stood on the stool to illustrate his height.

I laughed at her interpretation of Luke, "Yeah that's Luke, have you seen him?"

"Yeah," She laughed. "I saw him smoking in the bathroom."

"Of course." I rolled my eyes. Luke was more of a smoker than a drinker, especially when it came to party atmostspheres. It loosened up his quiet personality.

"Alright, I'll go get him. Can you keep an eye on these four for me?"

She laughed, "Sure, they seem like a fun group."

I finally rounded everyone up and in the car. Aspen claimed shot gun while the other 2 couples, and a stoned Luke sat in the back.

She crossed her legs, the way I remember crossing my legs in early grade school.

"Well I feel good." I could feel her stare from my peripheral.

"About?" I squinted trying to keep my eyes on the road.

She laughed, "That we're saving that horse."
