Getting to know Rosa

Though Katrina was putting quite an effort not to like Rosa it was hard not to. Rosa stood up to anyone who bullied them, she had fighting skills that could hold up against Aqualia, And Rosa was like them a gifted. That was probably why everybody else had welcomed her so quickly. That and a majority of the group thought they owed Kore after last year. It wasn't until she got to English class that things grew bad. Her English class was filled with the dumb prep girls and a couple of average kids that got unlucky to be stuck with them. This was the only class she didn't have Celestia in this year and the only one from their group was Rosa who Katrina was trying to avoid. " Oh the hot headed red head is in this class." One of the girls told her. " Oh shut up Grace." Katrina sighed. " Oh is Katrina getting angry." Her friend Olivia teased her. " Leave her alone Olivia." Rosa's voice said and she turned to see Rosa behind her a hint of red in her eyes. " Oh the Liar is standing up for the freak." Grace said.
" Yes I am and let me tell you that if you mess with any of them one more time I will not hesitate to tell everyone in this school every secret of yours that I know and trust me I know a lot." Rosa said narrowing her eyes at Grace." Go ahead it's not as if anybody will believe you anymore Rosa." Olivia snarled. " Oh and have you forgotten why we became friends that quickly?" She asked her eyebrows rasing slightly. " You lied there's no way a girl as pathetic as you could ever be a gifted let alone a learner." Grace scoffed rolling her eyes in disbelief as Katrina's eyes widened at the word. There was no way that there had been four learners in the same area at the same time. The bell rang and Rosa sent them away before sitting next to her. " Hello everyone we are having a pop quiz over last year now if you all do well I will count this as a grade if not it will just be an effort grade good luck everyone." The teacher said and Katrina looked at her wide eyed having not been there most of last year due to the drama last year. She was handed a test. Surprisingly enough it was all stuff she knew and when she turned hers in she thought she saw Rosa smirk. After everyone was done the teacher allowed them to talk quietly while she graded. " What did you do?" Katrina asked. " What do you mean I didn't do anything." Rosa smiled at her. " No seriously I want to know." She said curiously. " I may have grumbled all of Grace and Olivia's thoughts while I made everything you learned last year seem recent. It's a simple mind trick I've used ever since I learned I was psychic." Rosa shrugged. " So you are one!" Katrina cried out victoriously.
" So what if I am? I'm dangerous I probably should of warned you all that my powers react to my emotions since I'm a empath and the eye thing."
Rosa told her. " Celestia could help you she's an expert with controlling emotion she helped me with my anger issues." Katrina offered.
" Why are you being so nice usually you would have told me to screw off by now." Rosa said confused. "Look you're a good person Rosa and to be honest if you're sticking around there's no use for me to be mean." Katrina shrugged.
" So this is your way of saying your giving me a chance." Rosa grinned.
Katrina just gave her a smile before leaving for her next class.  The rest of the day flew by and when she walked out of the school she saw Rosa though something was wrong. " What is it?" She asked her voice concerned as Rosa whipped around her eyes wide in what Katrina distinguished as fear.
" Come on out I know you're there Pandora!"Rosa shouted and out from the shadows came two women and a man. " You've gotten better at sensing us it seems Toxic Waste's best product was a success." A white haired woman laughed at Rosa her red her eyes almost looked demonic. " You're a part of Toxic Waste!" Katrina yelled feeling betrayed even though they hadn't really gotten close." No actually they kidnapped me to try to get Kore to help me which is the real reason she moved me to here. I never thought they would find me here." Rosa said her voice growing quiet and she could faintly see her backing up slightly. " Oh our little Rose you can never escape Toxic you should know that after all you have been back there twice." The black haired woman said her dark brown eyes. " Shut up Pandora, you're just upset because the last time we met I defeated your teammates and got away. I see you've replaced them do they have stupid names as well?" Rosa asked and Katrina knew she was just hiding her sacredness behind jokes. " I am Pamela." The white haired lady said straightening her red shirt. " I am Alucard." The blonde guy said his red eyes matched Pamela's. " That means you must be Pandora and let me tell you I am not a fan of Toxic Waste." She said narrowing her eyes. " You were one of the girls who attacked our base this summer." Pandora gasped." I am and I can promise you that I can do the same to you that I did to them last summer." Katrina threatened. " You don't have any of your friends this time girly and if I remember your file correctly it clearly stated that you don't have control over your powers." Pandora smirked and then the three attacked them. Katrina caught on fire as Rosa had water flying around her in a protective shield. Shadows surrounded them and she understood how Rosa had gotten caught by them. If they were all three shadow gifted it would be almost impossible if you weren't another shadow person or a light wielder. The two were soon standing back to back and were probably going to lose until a bright light filled the area. Seeing the light the three fled. Katrina turned to see Dawn Marigold her blonde hair cascaded down her shoulders like a waterfall. Her light blue eyes full of worry as she ran her white dress trailed behind her. " You both alright?" She asked as her friends looked at her shocked. " You're a gifted Dawn?!" Reyna said in disgust her dark brown eyes glaring at her. " I am." Dawn confirmed with a squeak and Katrina realized for a popular person being gifted was probably horrible. " If you need a place you're welcome with us, you did after all save our life." Katrina told her and with that she went home.
