Getting to know Astrid

Liliya didn't realize how much she would miss everyone." Liliya are you paying attention." Astrid asked drawing her attention back to her. Astrid. " I'm sorry Astrid can we try again." Liliya asked. " Let's take a break we have been going at this for days and you can tell me what's been on your mind." Astrid said. " Oh I'm just worried about people." Liliya sighed as Astrid sat beside her." Kore will be fine I did the same thing she did for a group of friends a while back ago and I'm fine." Astrid told her." You did?" Liliya said shocked .
" Yeah it was me my sister Kali, Sorscha a Psyhic, Millie a ice weilder, Sebastian a earth elementalist, Osborn the metal weilder, Dylan plant elemental/ shape shifter, And Andy was a light weilder/ illionist/ fire weilder. I gave them my powers knocking me out and they all left the facility though a couple of them tried to come back for me, but they had me guarded pretty well and so they were forced to leave me." Astrid said twiddled her thumbs anxiously.
" How long ago was this?" Liliya asked wondering how recent it was for her.
" 60 years ago, but Cynthia was with me for 40 yrs of it. That was part of the reason she knew Kore was still alive she heard things about her while we were there." Astrid said.
" Are you immortal as well, because you do not look a day over 30." Liliya asked since Astrid looked really young. " I don't really know what ever they did to me in Toxic Waste has either really slowed down my aging process or turned me immortal. Either way I owe Cynthia which is the reason I'm doing this." Astrid told her.
" How come Zia didn't say your name when they were listing dangerous people?" Liliya asked. " I gave them a fake name as Rose Turner which I am glad, because I'm the only person with the name Astrid Jennings in centuries. Though Cynthia did tell me about your situation I hope you didn't mind." Astrid said. " What happened to your friends." Liliya asked. " Well most of them are dead the only ones left are Andy, Raven, and Dylan who I am pretty sure got captured by Toxic Waste looking for me." Astrid told.
" So how are you dealing with that." Liliya asked and Astrid just laughed a little. " It's been years Liliya and I'm happy to say I'm fully recovered from it." Astrid told her with a smile that almost seemed to bright for their conversation. " Are you really though after being with them for 50 years, because I really don't see how you could." Liliya said skeptically.
" Look I didn't mean to tell you my whole life, but my point was that Kore will be fine and so will your friends" Astrid assured her. " How did you know I was worried about them?" Liliya asked confused. " You always worry about your friends when you're a Learner Liliya and I have a feeling most of the questions about my friends were, because you miss them." Astrid put together.
" What do you do as a Job?" Liliya asked and Astrid's face turned red.
" I don't have a job I spend my time destroying Toxic Waste bases, saving learners, and helping gifted lern how to use their powers though I guess I do get money for that last one." Astrid admitted. " Is that how you met the Lighters" Liliya asked. " Yeah they asked me to train Amelia in her powers over light and I soon found out that she had helped Cynthia with Archery when she was taking lessons." Astrid laughed. " Can I meet her one of these days?" Liliya asked.
" Maybe later she did just lose her parents to Toxic Waste no less." Astrid sighed sadly. " I know I also lost my parents to Toxic Waste. I just don't know how much longer I'm going to stay here." Liliya said. " You're not staying until Kore gets better?" Astrid said shocked. " As much as I'd like to I have to return for school sometime I still have half the year left and though I have some time off, because of the whole thing last year it definitely isn't 3 months worth." Liliya pointed out. " I know it's just I was hoping to have this conversation with her in the room, but I guess you need to know." Astrid sighed. " Know what?" Liliya asked confused.
" All three of them have multiple children and I have one myself. Kore has Samantha Black, Lila Black, Rosalina Fishcer, and Kylie Fishcher. Cynthia has Calista Connors, Resse Hinde, Kyle Fischer, Kore Sanders, and Isabelle Snow.
You mother Calissa had you, Olivia Danvers, Rebecca Davis, Oliver Wood,
Ciara Ivanov, and Jacob Walters. I have a daughter named Rozalyn Matthews." Astrid told her. " So what your telling me is that I have a sister." Liliya said shocked. " I'm sure Cynthia would of told you, but she hadn't been in contact with Calissa in years despite naming a daughter after her." Astrid said. " Do you know where she lives?" Liliya asked kinda excited that she had an actual sister. " Ciara lives here in California if you would like to see her." Astrid said. " I would can we see her tommorrow?" Liliya asked.
" Maybe I can do it as a Friday treat deal." Astrid offered. " Alright I'm good with that, but I have one question." Liliya asked. " Fire away." Astrid said. " How come Cynthia didn't mention her kids?" Liliya said.
" I didn't mention Kore because she left the house saying I was the worse mom she ever met, Isabelle is in a Toxic Waste facility I've been looking for years that I put on hold for you, Kyle was in the military and was killed, Resse is currently in the hospital that I'm not allowed to see him, and Calista actually lives here she has just been on vacation for the past week I was going to tell you, but with everything else it slipped my mind." Cynthia answered stepping inside the training room. " Oh." Liliya said not knowing what else to say. " If it means anything I think you're a wonderful mother." Astrid said. " Half my kids I couldn't even take care of." Cynthia yelled teary eyed." From the past week I've been here you have been a really good mom and I'm not just saying it to be nice, because let's be honest you would probably know if I was." Liliya said. Cynthia gave a small smile before leaving the room once more. " C'mon girly you need to get back to traning." Astrid told her and with that they went back to training.
