Zia didn't like the idea of Alyssia training her. It was dangerous for everyone and Zia didn't want to admit she couldn't control most of her powers. Last year was stressful for her and she was honestly scared of going back, but there was no way she would admit that part of it." C'mon Zia we need all the help that we can get if we are going to save my aunts." Liliya pleaded. " Do you not think I know that Liliya?!" Zia shouted. " Liliya do you mind if I talked to Zia alone?" Aqualia asked and Zia sighed not wanting to be alone with anyone, especially Aqualia who had didn't have a real power of her own other then her telekinesis that she barely used. Liliya nodded before evacuating the room." Zia I know your scared to go back and in fact so am I." Aqualia said softly.
" Its not just that Aqualia what if I hurt someone. If Alyssia is going to enhance everyone's powers I don't know how much help I will be." Zia sighed. " You had your powers under control when you saved me from Ella." Aqualia pointed out. " My powers kill people Aqualia and I don't want to do that." Zia sighed. " Even superheroes have to kill people sometimes to save others." Aqualia countered. " I am not a hero Aqualia, I'm a nightmare! If I were to fight on the field and something were to make me angry I wouldn't be able to stop myself from hurting you." Zia told her. " I believe you wouldn't hurt me Zia and if we don't save them Toxic Waste will have more power then we could even imagine." Aqualia said softly. " Then you guys go right ahead and save them, but I'm not going. Trust me Aqualia I'm doing you a favor by leaving." Zia said before she disappeared not letting Aqualia get the chance to convince her otherwise. She walked climbed up the tree house ladder before sitting down in it. Her parents might not have gotten along well, but they built the best tree house for her. She was only there for a couple of minutes before she heard a scream and she immediately ran down the rope ladder running to her mother's aid. As soon as she entered the house she saw that Pandora had a sword to her mother's neck. " Oh so you are home I was worried you were actually stupid enough to think that girl Alyssia could control you." Pandora laughed. " Zia go." Her mother said giving her a look and for once in her life Zia listened. She ran out the door as her mom transformed into a chimera battling off Toxic Waste. " There isn't anywhere you can run that we can't find you Zia!" Pandora's voice shouted and she turned to see Pandora was right behind her. " What do you want with me Pandora." Zia asked defensively.
" We could be so good together Zia and you know it. We are both shadow gifted and you wouldn't have to pretend to be something you aren't." Pandora smiled at her. " I don't know what you're talking about." Zia said uneasily. " You know exactly what I mean Zia you're a monster and not only that you bring destruction everywhere you go. I mean look what happened with your dear mother." Pandora cackled. She looked over seeing her mom get thrown out of the house having long been changed from her chimera form. " Leave her alone!" Zia yelled throwing her hands out and a huge wave of shadows engulfed the toxic waste guys. " This is all your fault Zia." Pandora told her and when the shadows cleared all the guys were dead on the ground. " This is all your fault." Zia said corrected. " I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you my little Zia." Pandora purred stepping closer to her." That may be true, but that doesn't give me any reason to trust you." Zia growled and shadows went to attack Pandora, but they turned attacking her. She fell to the ground the shadows holding her wrists as she struggled away from Pandora. " Just give in Zia no one is here to save you. Besides if you won't join us then I guess we don't have any other choice. " Pandora said cupping her check and shadows flew into her mouth. She shrieked as the shadows filled her body and tears fell from her face until suddenly Pandora stepped back from her body. Zia started coughing as she heard someone call her name before running to her side. " Zia are you all right?" The voice asked and she saw bright red hair that could only mean one person. " Aqualia." Zia choked out shadows where still streaming from her mouth. " It's all right Zia I'm here now." Aqualia assured her as she choked. " If it isn't the assassin I didn't know you cared for anyone." Pandora smirked. " You see that is what makes us different Pandora we care." Zia said hoarsely. " Well then I guess I'll just have to take you both." Pandora said and once more the shadows flew towards them. Zia tried to keep them from touching them, but she was already weakened and soon they crashed into her sending her flying into a wall. Black dots danced across her vision and she could hear Aqualia yelling in the background, but she was already gone. When she opened her eyes she saw a woman stood above her eyes full of concern.
" Who are you?" Zia groaned. " I'm Astrid Jennings and you are?" Astrid told her. " You're Liliya's aunt." Zia said wide eyed. " So you're one of her friends it's nice to finally meet one of you." Astrid grinned. " Zia Lapin." Zia introduced herself. " So the other girl they brought in is she with you?" Astrid asked. " Aqualia is she alright?" Zia asked concerned. " Sweetheart we're in Toxic Waste none of us are alright." Astrid sighed. " I know that Astrid, I'm just worried about her." Zia said. " Try to get some sleep Zia for you probably won't get another chance after this." Astrid told her before she stood up leaving her side. Sighing Zia closed her eyes trying her best to follow Astrid's advice.
