Elsewhere, a group of 5 aurors is trying to creep upon a mysterious figure when they are blown away by a sudden ray of light. The back of Gellert Grindelwald's blonde head is shown when he walks through the destruction he has caused. Newspapers all over the world are reporting of his rise to destruction and his heinous acts of violence. Everyone knows that he hates muggles, but there is something else that drives his actions. What piece are we missing? Witnesses are saying that by the way he tears through the towns he looks as if he is looking for something. The question is, what is Gellert Grindelwald looking for? Or quite possibly, who?

*8 years later*

*Setting: New York City 1926*

Newt's POV:

I take the fresh air into my lungs and feel the wind in my face as I recall the moment that got me here. These past eight years have gone by way too quickly for my taste, but the journey has been worth it. I set my gaze upon the small red-haired little girl walking over to play with a group of children and I can't help but to just keep staring at her with awe and pride. My thoughts are interrupted when my head is whacked by a ball. "Sorry, Newt!" I hear Skylar say. "It's alright. No harm done." I smile back at her. I throw the ball back at the group of children so they can continue their game. "Thanks, Newt!" Sky says back to me. As a parent, it brings me so much joy to see her playing with other children and that they accept her. See, my daughter looks a little different than most children. She has three big gashes on the right side of her face, all of which expose her skull. To be perfectly honest here, I am more worried about the parents. I mean I know children can be cruel, but I truly believe they get it from their parents and that some parents reinforce the behavior.

Skylar's POV:

Hello! I'm Skylar Scamander, but if you like you can call me Sky. I'm 8 years old and I live with my daddy. His name is Newt and he is right over there. My mummy died when I was born, so it's been the two of us ever since. Newt says I look a lot like my mum which is why I'm named after her. I thought I would introduce myself since we are first meeting because Newt says that it is impolite. Anyways, back to the story. I see a group of children playing around on the bow so I take it upon myself to ask if I can join them. I'm very nervous because I don't talk to people very often. I mostly spend time with my dad helping him with his creatures. We keep to ourselves mostly, just the way we like it. Well, here goes nothing. I walk up to them and muster up the courage to ask them. "H-hello. Is i-it alright i-if I join you?" I stutter. They give me a weird look, probably because of my face, but they all smile at me and a brown-haired boy says, "Sure! The more the merrier! What's your name?" "Skylar. Skylar Scamander."

We have been playing catch for almost an hour. "Hey, guys! Watch this." I say with a cunning smile on my face. I hurl the ball straight for Newt's head. I fake being shocked when it hits him. "Sorry, Newt!" I shout at him while my new friends chuckle at him. "You call your father 'Newt'?" the raven-haired girl asks. "Yes. That's his name." I reply with a smile. She shrugs it off and we continue playing. Before I know it, they are encouraging me to ask Newt if he wants to join us. "Newt! Newt, come and play with us!" I shout over to him. His head snaps over to our direction and ponders the request for a moment. He smiles and replies, "That's alright, darling. You go on without me." One thing you should know about me; I don't take no for an answer. I run over to him and give him a face I know he won't say no to. "Please, Newt," I say giving my bestest frowning face possible. He sighs and looks down at the ground then looks back up at me and smiles. "Ok. Ok. I'll play."

Newt's POV:

That child is lucky she is cute. I swear her looks would murder someone if they were given a chance to. I reluctantly get up and place my case on the side of the bench I was sitting on to go play with my daughter and her new-found friends. We spend a good hour playing different games before I'm worn out. And I thought chasing one child was bad enough. Bless the people who have more than one. Wait a moment. . . Who am I to talk? At least only one of them is mobile right now. "Phew! You lot wore me out. I have to stop and rest, but I must say this was a lot of fun." I say to group. They all awe at me and I mock them as I head back to the bench and sit down to rest. I reach down to grab my case, but before I can, one of the clasps flicks open. Oh dear, he's getting impatient. I pick up the case and set in my lap so I can quietly say to it, "Dougal, settle down now please. It won't be long. Hush now. You'll wake the baby." I rest my chin on top of the case looking at the site of the water before turning to look over at my daughter. This trip will definitely be interesting because I will be traveling with two children. One of whom is practically a newborn. I snap my head up when I don't see her right away. I look again before grabbing my case and hastily making my way over to the group of children to ask if they know where she went.

"Hello. Do any of you know where Sky went?" I ask the children. They all look to each other in confusion. "No, sir. We do not. She was just here and then she wasn't." the blonde-haired boy says. Now, I start to panic. I put my right hand on the boy's bicep to gently push him to the side as I go to find my daughter. It feels like I have run all over the entire ship to try and find her. "Sky! Skylar!" I call for her. I run up to different passengers asking them if they have seen her and give a description of her to help them think, but I've come up short. That is until I run into a dignified looking woman who says, "I think I have. Does she have three scars on the right side of her face?" I think no to myself because they are gashes. Wait a moment, she must be a muggle. "Yes! Yes, she does." I begin, "Please, miss, can you tell me where she went?" "I did see her then. Poor little thing, must have had a terrible accident to have those nasty scars on her precious face. She asked me where she could find a restroom. I told her there is one down this hall and to the right. Are you her father?" she tells me. I breathe a sigh of relief before answering, "Yes, I am her father. She didn't tell me where she was going, so I started to panic. Any ways, thank you for your help." I let out a chuckle before going to fetch her. The lady gives a slight head turn with a smile as she goes about her business. I reach the ladies room and wait for her to come out. Her back is towards me as she exits, so I clear my throat to get her attention. She quickly turns around as I put down my case and envelop her in a hug. "I'm so glad you're safe." I say in her hair. I let her go as she responds, "What? I had to use the loo!" I grab my temple as I kneel to her level and take her hands in mine so I can say, "I didn't know where you were. I - I thought something terrible happened to you! Please, Sky, don't ever scare me like that again." I explain to her. "I promise, Newt. I won't." She says back to me. I stand back up and wrap my arms around her once more. I let go of her, wrap my arm around her shoulder, and lead her back to our quarters to get our things ready for when we dock.
