"Hurry up! It's game day! I don't want to be late!" A frustrated looking Riley yells to her family as she runs around getting her gear ready.

"I don't understand why you bother playing," an eight year old Sawyer mumbled as he passed his sister in the hallway. "You and your team suck."

Riley growls at the curly haired boy as he keeps walking towards the kitchen. She quickly runs past him, hitting him on the back of his head while doing so. Hearing a small 'ow', Riley smirks as she makes it to kitchen where her mum and dad are waiting on their children to get ready.

"Try to at least be civil." Sue Summers mumbles with an exhausted look on her face, "could you at least pretend when we are in public today?"

Riley looks back at her little brother, both of them sharing a look before turning to their mum and saying, "nope" before they carry on doing their own things.

The brunette girl goes to the fridge and grabs a drink before walking over to her bag to make sure she has everything she needs for the game. As she continues packing she hears her dad start talking.

"Take it easy on your mum, kids," Andrew Summer walks over to his wife and gives her a kiss on the cheek, "and please be nice to each other. That's all we're asking."

Riley looks at her annoying little brother who is now sitting on the couch with the T.V on. "We'll see," is her only reply, which receives eye rolls and sighs from her parents, before they usher their two kids into the car.

~~~~~
The District 5 team all stare at the Hawks, who are looking very intimidating at the moment.
"They do realise this is hockey and not the military, right?" Riley mumbles to Charlie as she stares at the team in amazement.
Charlie only chuckles at her before two Hawk players come up to their bench.
"Hi, girls." McGill and Larson mock as they stop in front of the bench, causing Karp to throw down his gloves and try to lunge for them. The team manage to stop him in time as the Hawk players skate backwards, still mocking the team.
~~~~~

"Win! Win! Win! Win!" The Hawks chanted as they fired themselves up for the upcoming game.

"Alright, guys, gather round." Coach Bombay ushers the team around him, "come on, come on." Coach then starts to chant "win! Win! Win!" Which cause Riley to roll her eyes in annoyance, while some of the team actually tried to chant with the new coach.

Lets just say he gave up pretty soon.

Looking at the team with disappointment Coach mumbles, "yeah, we're all fired up," before he sends them out onto the ice to get warmed up.

Stepping onto the ice made Riley smile with glee, loving the feeling it brought to her. Doing a few circles on the ice to get warmed up, she stops and notices that District 5 are once again copying the Hawks. The Hawks were skating towards the goalie and lightly tapping his pads before skating off, this caused Riley to wince as she slowly turned towards her team again, already knowing this would end badly.

"Oh, great. Good concept, guys." Goldberg was sarcastically saying as the team hit his pads, "nic- ouch! Ouch!" Charlie then skated up to him, only to hit him too hard, causing Goldberg to fall forward on the ice. "Nice goin', fool!" Goldberg yells at Charlie, instantly causing a small fight between the two to occur. Riley only shakes her head with amusement as she skates back to the bench waiting for the game to begin.

~~~~~
District 5 really were terrible hockey players.
The Hawks had already managed to score five goals before Riley was even on the ice. They were better players and skaters then District 5, but that didn't mean Riley was about to give up.
"Alright, line change." Coach mumbled, "come on, go, go, go."
Riley was embarrassed as she saw most of the boys try (and fail) to go over the bench, while she and Connie just went through the gates. Lining up on the left wing, Riley manages to get the puck, only to be smashed into the wall by two of the Hawks. As soon as they have the puck they shoot for goal, instantly getting past Goldberg, who didn't even try.
Groaning n frustration, Riley gets up and skates back to her position, wanting this game to be finished already.
~~~~~

"How lazy can you be?  They're killing us out there!" Coach Bombay yells at the tired team as he snatches Goldberg's drink away, "how many times do I have to tell you: get those rebounds, get your heads up, get those loose pucks." Coach continues in frustration, "Get- just-"

The whistle interrupts him as he tells us to get back onto the ice.

A couple of minutes into the game Charlie manages to get the puck and skates up the middle of the ice. Riley watches in hope while she takes out a couple of players to make sure he gets to the net, but in the back of her mind she knows he will do something to screw it up. That's how he got his nickname, Spazway, after all.

Just as he gets in front of the goalie, Charlie swings but misses as he falls over and slides on the ice instead. When trying to get up, Banks comes flying in from behind him and smashes Charlie into the wall.

"Charlie!" Riley yells as she skates towards the boy, pushing Banks off of Charlie and onto the ice in the process. "Leave before I make sure you have no kids," Riley practically growls at Banks, causing the boys eyes to widen before he skates off. Offering Charlie a hand, Riley pulls him up. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." Charlie replies with a grateful smile before they makes their way off the ice only to have Coach insult him as they get to the bench.

"Nice fan, Charlie. Keep swingin'. Maybe you'll give em' a cold." Coach Bombay tells Charlie, making Riley roll her eyes, once again wishing the game would end already.

~~~~~
District 5 had lost 17-0 to the Hawks, and Riley couldn't be more disappointed.
The team argue to each other while the girl sits on the bench, trying to think of what she could do to improve her skills.
"Hey, shut up!" Coach Bombay yells, anger filling his voice, "you guys stink."
Riley chooses to ignore whatever else he has to say, already over her new coach who wasn't even bothering to coach them properly. All he was doing was yelling at them, which definitely wasn't helping them improve. Riley only starts to listen again when Coach angrily yells, "why the hell don't you just listen to me?"
"Why the hell should we?" Jesse questions before he storms off to the change rooms.
"I don't care." Coach Bombay continues his lecture in a softer voice, "you want to lose, fine. You're the one who look like idiots out there." He then starts to make his way from the bench.
"Maybe if you actually tried to coach us, then we wouldn't look like idiots out there." Riley tells him softly, making Coach Bombay look at her before he continues his way off the bench.
