Chapter 5

Gray's POV (OOOOOH)

I open my eyes and start to get a little confused on why I'm on the floor. Then, I remembered that I slept in here with Gabby. Memories from last night started to slowly roll in. The people chasing her, how freaked out she was, and her sleeping in here with me. Well technically I didn't sleep WITH her but I'm sure it still counts.

I didn't want to wake her up yet so I quietly got up and left the room. I walked downstairs and saw Ethan eating cereal. "Hey E" I said. "Hey gray, where's gabby?" He asked. "She's still sleeping" I responded. "Oh" was all he said.

I sat down next to him and he asked me something that I wasn't really expecting. "Did yall kiss?"

Ethan's POV (YAYAYA FINALLY)

"Did yall kiss?" I ask gray. I know that he slept in there with her, so I was a little curious. "No" he says blankly. "We just talked for a while then she went to sleep in the bed and I slept on the floor. Nothing happened" he finished. Thank God. Wait what?

I finished eating my cereal then started to head upstairs when I heard someone coming down. I look up and see gabby walking slowly down the steps. She looked so tired and stressed. I mean, I would be too if people were to chase after me like that. I just wanted to give her the biggest hug. And that's what I'm gonna do ;)

Gabby's POV

"Good morning" ethan and grayson say at the same time. They always do that. "Good morning" I giggle. "Do you want to talk about last night?" Ethan asks. "I don't really know what to say. I'm just so shooken up by it and scared to even go outside. Hell, I'm scared to even be inside. Like who would do that to a girl or to anyone actually. Like that's so-"

but before I could finish, ethan embraces me in a hug. I was caught a little off guard but then realized what was going on. I instantly hugged him back tight. This is what I needed. Comfort and protection, and right now, he was providing that for me.

I didn't even realize I had started crying until ethan pulls away and puts his thumb to my cheek to wipe the tears. He then places his hands on my shoulders. He kinda just stared at me but I didn't find it uncomfortable. I got lost in his eyes for a second then snapped out of it when he started talking.

"What me to drive you home?" He asks. "Uhh yeah, if you don't mind" I responded. I feel bad but I'm terrified to walk back by myself. "Of course I don't mind. Let me get my keys and we'll go." He says. I quickly run back up the stairs and grab my clothes. I hurry back down the stairs and hes waiting for me at the door.

I walk towards grayson and hug him. "Thank you for everything" I whispered in his ear. "No problem at all. I'm always here" he answered. Why did my stomach flip. I smile and walk towards the door. I meet ethan and we head out.

The car ride was silent, but not an uncomfortable silence. As we approached my house, I started to look around and make sure that no one was around. I guess ethan saw me worrying and he says "hey gabs, it's okay. I'm here right now. No one is going to get you, I promise." I smile, grab his hand, squeeze it, then pull away. He smiles which made me smile even more. I probably look like an idiot. Oh well.

I saw my mom's car in the driveway and assumed she was home, but my door was wide open. Maybe she just got something out the car and couldn't close it? Idk. Ethan walks me to the door to make sure I got there safely, and that's when I noticed the house was totally trashed. Wtf???

Ethan's POV

Do they not clean their house or something? "Ethan, someone's been in here and did this. The house was spotless before I came over yesterday. Things are broken and everything. Lets go see if my mom is home" she says. Oh Thank god they didn't make this mess.

We head upstairs and into her mom's room. It was trashed as well. We see a note on the dresser and read it. "If you want her, you'll have to find her, but hopefully you make it in time." Oh shit. I look over at gabby and she looks so helpless and drained.

I quickly wrap my arms around her because she looked so unsteady and weak. Who would do this? Then, we heard a phone go off. Gabby checks her phone and she got a text from an unknown number.

*unknown number*: i know you got my little note princess. You better make an effort to find your mother if you want her to live. You have 1 week. Good luck ;)

She just drops to the floor and balls her eyes out. I'm not gonna lie, I'm actually pretty scared too. She's sobbing uncontrollably and I don't really know what to do. "We aren't going to find her. He's gonna hurt her. What do we-" but i cut her off and placed a small kiss on her lips. "Shhh" I say after I break the kiss. "We will find her, i promise. Lets get out of here. We can go back to my house. Lets go pack some things for you to bring if you want" i finish. She nods and we get up and go to her room.

The weird thing, is that her room was spotless.

*unknown number*: weren't expecting that were you? Next time will be a bit messier ;)

Holy shit. How tf he knew we were in here.  I try to keep my cool and not show her that I'm scared shitless rn. She hurries and packs and we abandon that place in less than 30 seconds.

We head back to my house. We get out and walk inside and gray is on the sofa watching tv. "Oh hey gabs, whatcha doin back?" He asks. Grayson come on don't ask, just leave her alone omg. She stiffins up a bit then looks weak again. She plops on the couch and said "they took my mom."

Gray looked scared at first but something snapped. Something big. He went from scared, to imma beat the shit out those people when I get my hands on them. Tbh, I was a little nervous seeing him like this, but we need to protect gabby, and him being all tough is gonna help. I just hope we find her mom...

I'm so sorry I didn't update earlier. I was busy this morning then I had the worst head ache ever and couldn't even open my eyes. Its better now, Thank god. But I hope you liked this!! A little intense but not too much. More will happen soon :) love u guys 💖
