Have you ever had a five minute crush? You know those people you see from across the hall or on the other side of the street and you fall in love for just a few minutes? You don't know their name or their story, you just see their outward beauty and it seems as if the whole world stops and for some reason this person you've never met, and probably never will meet, is the only other person that exists with you for those few short moments.

Your mind creates your whole life story together and you live out the fantasy in thirty seconds flat and then you turn to look back at the person with a smile on your face...

and they're gone.

Your fantasy ends and you move on with your life, but keep the pure bliss of that moment in the back of your mind for the next hour or two.

This happens to me every Saturday. I fall in love for a few short moments, and they are the best moments of my life.

I board the subway and make my over to an open seat. I'm sat between an old man reading a newspaper and a woman typing so quickly on her phone, I fear she may break her thumbs any second.

I pull out my earbuds and turn on some music as I ride the subway to Central Park. I go there every Saturday to walk and clear my thoughts. Nature doesn't exactly calm me but there's something about Central Park that allows me to de-stress and figure things out in my life, or to get away from life entirely.

As I sit in the subway car, I slowly and calmly turn my head to the right and look down the aisle.

No sign.

I look back forward for a few seconds before slowly turning my head to the left. I search every face and just when I think there's no one there, I spot her.

The most beautiful girl I have ever laid eyes on.

She has long brown hair that cascades down her back in beautiful waves. She has big brown eyes that light up whenever she sees something that makes her happy, like a child giggling or a cute old couple.

She's kind. She always looks to make sure anyone needs help off the subway before leaving herself.

And her smile. Oh, her smile. It lights up the room. She could make the saddest person feel good with that smile. It's genuine. We've made eye contact a few times and she smiles every time. That beautiful smile.

I still don't know her name. I have no idea where she goes every Saturday. All I know is that she is beautiful and kind, and that is enough for those few short minutes.

I watch as she giggles at a baby making funny noises. She makes faces that make the baby laugh and I watch as the mother looks happily at her smiley baby.

The train stops. The doors open. I watch as this girl helps the mother carry her things off the car. When I exit the train, I look towards where she walked off but she's already lost in the crowd.

My fantasy has ended. It's time to get back to real life.

I walk down the sidewalk towards Central Park. I stop at my favorite bakery, Topanga's, to grab a danish and a smoothie, extra thick.

As I walk through the park, headphones in, I think about everything going on.

My parents are constantly fighting now. It seems to be over money trouble and I really hope it doesn't start to effect their relationship. Fighting is normal with couples, I just hope they can get through this.

My grades are staring to slip. I'm almost down to a  B in english, which may seem like no big deal to some, but when you have a genius for a father, a B may as well be an F.
