Shawn's POV:
"So Ariel how long have you and Shawn been dating?" My grandma has been asking questions
about me since Ariel came over, well before that the actually. When she was brought home I was bombarded with questions, but I didn't mind it's nice to know more than one person cares about me.
"It hasn't been that long actually around a week ma'am." Ariel has been extremely polite since she came in and I know she's trying hard to make a good impression.
"Oh please sweetie you can call me grandma." I break out in a giant smile the two most important women in my life are getting along. "I hope you don't mind it's just.... I can tell you two are going to last long."
"Oh it's fine if I'm being totally honest I was scared you wouldn't like my hair and would hate me."
"That's silly!" Grandma exclaims. "I would love to dye my hair your color but I don't think I'd rock it so maybe I'll do blue." I try to stifle a laugh.
"You'd look great or maybe have it lavender purple." While they talk about dying their hair I get up and go to the kitchen to grab some drinks. I make sure to have three glasses incase they want any and go to walk out when I bump into my grandpa.
"Ariel is a nice girl you've done well my boy." I give him a smile and step out of his way. "You probably don't believe this but I am proud of you."
"That was weird" I whisper under my breath after he walks away. "Who's thirsty?" I hand them their glasses and kiss both of their cheeks.
"You're such a sweetie pie," grandma coos. "Thank you." She takes a sip but quickly sets it down to talk to Stella. "But I've heard good things about this one place that we could go to and make it a girls day."
"That would be great and we could also go see a movie after too." It's great that they're planning something together, it would've been upsetting if Ariel and grandma hated each other. Things really are turning out for the best.
"Shawn." I look at Ariel and she giggles. "I have to go but I'll text you when I get home okay?" I walk Ariel to the door and she waves bye before disappearing down the road.
"I can't stand that girl." My head snaps around and I see Grandma's stern face. "I'm kidding she was wonderful."
