Shawn's POV:
Dear Journal,
I thought life was getting better but it's just getting worse. My parents want me to move in with them but my grandma just came back and I don't want to leave her, she practically raised me. Upsetting her will break my heart and the news of my parents moving back practically broke hers. It's hard to choose between staying or going with my parents.

Sighing, I throw my journal down on my bed and get up. I walk out of my room, making sure to lock the door behind me and go downstairs. It's quiet, an unsettling quiet. I make my way to the kitchen, taking in my surroundings and savoring the memories. It seems like everyone is gone. I check the time on the microwave. 12:30 a.m. I must've fallen asleep.  "I wonder if Ariel's up." I say to myself. I go to grab my phone  out of my pocket when something catches my eye. I make sure I'm completely alone and grab the documents. "Wait a second they're getting di-"

"You had to tell her didn't you boy," I hold my breath as I hear the disdain in my Grandfathers voice. "You couldn't keep your trap shut you just had to go and tell her." I turn around and lock eyes with him. His eyes hold no emotion but hatred.

"I-I didn't say anything sir I promise," he laughs and shakes his head clearly not believing me. "I swear I didn't tell her I don't know how she knows."

"Well someone did which means you opened up your trap!" He takes a threatening step towards me and I gulp. "And you know what that means."

"Do not put your hands on our grandson!" Looking over his shoulder I see my grandma. "Nobody told me about you hurting him I found out accidentally and it wasn't confirmed until now." The shock on my grandfathers face is evident. "Shawn go and pack your bags we're staying in a hotel tonight."

"Are you sure that you're fine?" Ariel asks, her voice laced with worry.

"Yeah right now we're just with my mom, dad and Aaliyah." Turns out the hotel we went to is where my parents and sister are staying so we just stayed with them. I still haven't told my grandma what happened or asked how she found out but right now it's probably best not to cause any problems. "I have to go babe I love you see you tomorrow." As I set my phone down my mom walks in the room.

"Hi sweetie," she gives me a sad smile and I give her a half wave. "Do you want to talk about it?" I shake my head no, more concerned about other things instead of what happened to me. "Well if you ever want to talk I just want you to know that we're here for you." Although I know she means it, her words don't comfort me.

"How's Grandma doing?" She gestures for me to go into the rooms "kitchen" like area. I nod at her and get up. When I walk and spot my grandma so I go to sit  to sit by her. Tears are streaming down her face as she's reading something. "Is that..... my journal?" She looks up at me, tears pooling as she slowly nods.

"When I first got back you left your room unlocked and I saw it, I assumed it was school work and wanted to see what you were doing but it was your pain in written form." She sighs and sets it down. "So I called in a favor and got those divorce papers faxed to me, you won't have to deal with him again."
