*Seto's POV*

~Timeskip a couple days~

Teaching Rin in the ways of using his hidden potential was proving to be difficult. The only thing he'd figured out how to do, was bring people into the game of Slender, which I guess was better than nothing. However, even though he was having troubles perfecting the magic, his spirit and determination was strong. He refused to give up which made this easier. He didn't complain, he worked hard and even when he was in need of a break he refused to take one. Despite the difficulties, we were making progress, we were currently working on telekinesis, the power to lift objects with your mind. It's slightly more basic, with small items at least and he was doing well. Right now he was taking a nap. Learning how to use magic can be draining, and frequent naps were good. I was reading to pass the time. I was curious to call the others and see how they were doing, but I am sure Ty would call me if something was wrong, so I would just have to wait a while longer. I glanced over at Rin from my book. He was sleeping, seemingly peaceful. I did have a few worries about him though. The trauma he has experienced, it'll either hinder his abilities greatly, or in the right circumstances it'll help his power surge. But, by the looks of it right now, it's hindering him, the grieving and other negative emotions are not allowing his true power to take form. That is going to be his biggest hurdle.

I read for awhile longer, before setting my book down. I stood and looked at Rin, ready to wake him up for the next training session. Only, he was no longer in a peaceful slumber. His eyes were scrunched shut and he was breaking into a sweat. I quickened my pace, bending down by him and gently grabbing his shoulder to wake him. "Rin, come on Rin, wake up. It is only a nightmare,"

At my touch, he thrashed and screamed, a blood curdling sound as though he was or watching someone be murdered. I wanted to release him, but I needed him to wake, or might not be mentally strong enough to continue. I grabbed his other shoulder with my other hand and shook him gently. "Come on Rin, wake up!"

He thrashed again, this time hitting me square in the chest, he may have been malnourished but he was still shockingly strong. I was much smaller than him and his force sent me staggering back and I tripped over a chair falling hard on my back, knocking the wind out of me. What in the world was he dreaming about that caused him to thrash and scream as though his life-- ... oh. I slowly sat up, rubbing my head. Of course, he's dreaming about the whole reason for this mess in the first place. Slender.

*Rin's POV*

It's so dark...

Running. Heart thudding. Blood rushing. He's coming. He's coming for me. He killed Ren, and now I am the only one with the power to stop him. I was the only one left in his way.

I ran through the forest, quickly darting behind a large tree to hide and rest my burning lungs and aching muscles. My head didn't pound, and my vision wasn't hazy so I could only assume that I had lost him for a short while. I fought back tears as hard as I could, but it was a losing battle. He was going to win, he'd killed them all. Mia, Ian, Ren, all of them. I gently adjusted my scarf, and pulled Ren's out of my pocket. I hugged it close to my chest, finally conceding defeat, letting the tears roll. "I-i-it should've been me! I don't know what I'm doing, Ren. You would know what to do, how to defeat him. I... I'm just the brother who screws everything up..."

I was startled into an upright position by a glowing light in the darkness. At first mistaking it as Slender, I panicked, thinking this was it.

"Don't be afraid, Rin." A familiar voice echoed.

I looked at the glowing light closely, and slowly it formed into a silhouette. "R-Ren...?"

He smiled softly. "Hey little buddy."

I stood up and hugged him tightly, despite him looking as though I would pass through him, he was solid. He hugged back.

"Listen... I know you're scared, but you can do this."

"I-I-I can't do this. I can't, I'm not strong enough like you."

"You are and every bit stronger, you ask for help when you need it. You're so open and willing to make friends even with complete strangers. I built walls, I was too scared to get close to people. You're much stronger than I was. Trust is something that doesn't come easy to everybody, but it comes easy to you, and that is a gift."

I looked up at him.

"You're very strong, and I'm always with you. Everyone is with you."

The light began to grow, lighting up the surrounding area, and Ren gently pulled away. "R-Ren?"

He gently took the scarf I was holding and tucked it in my hand. "You can do this, I'm with you all the way."

Ren backed away, his silhouette turning into a ball of light. It hovered there for a moment before floating in front of my vision. I closed my eyes and felt everything lighter. For once in a long time, I felt strong.

A/N: Yo, this is a shorter chapter, sorry about that. I figured it was a nice little transition before some stuff gets crazy. hehehehe...

As always, I appreciate all of your support for this. I am not the best writer in the world, but as long as I enjoy what I write I will keep writing. You guys also help me with motivation, as I get side tracked and busy with other things very easily. So, thank you.

You guys are awesome. Now I am going to use this recovering time (I got super sick yesterday and my entire body hurts) to get some writing done! Adios my lovelies.
