"I dont even know how to drive!" I yell to Derek freaking out
"Shhh. Look at me" He says putting the car in park
"Yes" I say staring into his blue eyes
"You got this. Remember what I say, once you press the gas its all on your ass" He says leaning in his seat
"Oh ok. Um why arent you wearing a seatbelt?" I ask still scared shitless
"Not my style" He says
"Oh ok." I say putting the car in drive
"You got this Carter!" I hear Carly yell from outside of the car
I got this
Once I pressed the gas, I felt like another person. I went through each cone Derek had set up perfectly. I finally put the car in park.
"Wow" Derek says getting out of the car
"How did I do?" I ask getting out of the car also
"Holy Shit Carter!" Chad yells as him and Carly walk towards us
"You were amazing" Derek says running to me and picking me up
"Uhh" I say before he puts me down
"Sorry" He says straching his back neck while squinting his eyes
A couple claps start behind me startling me
"Runs in the family" Parker says walking to us with Jordin
"Great job sweetie" Jordin says hugging me
"Parker? Jordin?" I say in totally confusion
"Oh come one, I have been racing for years now." Parker says laughing "Mom and Dad raced"
"Woah" I say in more shock
"Its how me and Parker actually met" Jordin says smiling at Parker
"You too?" I ask to Jordin
"Yupp" Jordin says smiling more
"We are like a racing family" Carly yells from behind me
"Yeah I guess so" I say laughing with her
"You know what this means right?" Chad ask to the group
"Whats that?" Derek says
"We are all really good racers, why dont we start a group together" Chad says smiling
For some reason when he says that I totally think of Fast and Furious
"Thats a great idea" Derek says "I mean I have nothing better to do"
"Lets put our hands in" Carly yells in excitment
We each put our hands in concluded we are a group now.
"We stick together no matter what!" Carly finishes then we blow our hands up
We each head home Carly and Chad, Jordin and Parker, Me and Derek.

"I put you in a race" Derek says as he drives me home
"Im not ready" I say starting to panic
"Yes you are" He says looking at me with his blue eys
"Ill look like a fool" I say starting to cry
"Look at me. You wont because youll be with me"
With those words my arms get goosebumps. I cant believe he said that. Im not complaining but woah.

"Ill see you later" Derek says as he drops me off at my house
"You too" I say blushing walking to my house
"So, you and Derek" Jordin says as I walk in the front door
"Whatever you are thinking is a no" I say still kind of blushing
"Why not?" She says walking toward me
"Derek would never fall for a girl like me. Lets leave it at that" I say leaving upstair

"You got this" Carly says handing me water
"I hope so" I say shaking leaving the bathroom
I get in my car and start up ready to race my first race
"Hey Carter" Derek says as he approaches my car
"Yes?" I say shaky
"When you press on the gas, its all on your ass" He says winking at me and leaving to the group
By the words I feel so in control. I dont what it is about this boy but its like he knows exactly what to say and I really like it.
"GO!"

"YOU WON!" Derek says as he picks me up
"I DID!" I say hugging him "Oh" I realize how close we were
Derek starts sractching his back neck and squinting his eyes again
"Girl, cant believe you actually did it!" Carly says hugging me
"Good job" Chad says
Jordin and Parker just smile at me and hug me
"Lets go PARTY" Carly and Chad say running to the radio
Everybody starts dancing with them but I go over and get a drink
"Its Carter right?" A girl with short brown hair says to me
"Yes" I say with a smile
"Stay away from Derek" As she says that a bunch of girls huddle me with mean faces and big attuitudes
"Umm" I say in total shock
"Exuse me ladies. I need Carter" Derek says pulling me out of there
"Ex girlfriend?" I say as we walk to his car
"No. More like stalker" He says as we get in the car
"Oh how pleasant" I say "By the way where are we going?"
"Youll see" He says smiling at me with those blue eyes

"We are here" He says as we are in the middle of nowhere
"Where" I say confused as to what is going on
"No where" He says laying on the hood of his car
"Ok" I say
"Come here" He says
"Ok" I say getting on the hood.
Once I got up there we started cuddling. And I felt so wanted and happy in that moment. I never wanted this to go away. I loved it. I liked him.
"No" I say getting off the hood
"No what?" He says confused
"Nothing" I say embarrassed
"My apoligy" He says
"What?"
"You dont want to like me because im Derek. Im a heartbreaker" He says laying back down
"Yeah.." I say honestly
"Its alright"
"And we would never be together" I say
"You dont know that" He says "You drive" He throws me and the keys and we are out
But all night after that I wondered... Does he like me like that?
