~Broken Heart~

Selene's P.O.V.

"Holden" I called out and stood behind him in fear, I held Holden's shirt and hid myself behind him... He's the enemy... And he found us... Holden then hastily aimed a gun back at the intruder.

"Ah, so this is the jem we're looking for, did you enjoy being in Holden's care? Do you want to have fun with me then? You'll have so much fun with us" His taunting voice sent shivers to me and made me fear him more.

"Shut that dirty mouth of yours, don't talk to her like that" Holden's voice suddenly turned stern and you can hear the madness in his voice, he's starting to get really really mad.

"Well, well, well, could it possibly be Holden? That the stone hearted Mafia had already fell-"

"Shut up Hui! Stop trying to manipulate our minds and just kill me if that's what you want"

What did Hui wanted to tell earlier? He smirked and turned to me when Holden suddenly spoke outraged and stopped him..  what could it be?...

"You know Holden, it wouldn't really be that fun if I'll end your life, such a certain cliche scene that usually happens in movies"

"The money is what you wanted right? Sure, I'll give you all the money you want, I can also double or triple the price" I spoke, I wanted to appear brave so I can also try to protect myself and also Holden.

Hui and Holden sounded so surprised when I suddenly started to talk, but it it's all about the money, I can lure Hui and stopped him from doing anything, he might shoot Holden any minute now and I have to stop it or else he might be able to get me and kill Holden.

"You can and we and accept the offer, but just like Holden, my interest had already changed. You are what I want I have now"

No... I know Holden wouldn't let him take me... He won't let him have me... He wants me sage and he's going to do everything just to have me safe...

"This kind of thing doesn't need to happen Holden, I just need you to give her to me  and that's it, no blood, no guns, your friends are already hurt Holden, just one more shot, they're all going to die" Then he turned to Holden, he's trying to make him choose between me or his friends, Holden clenched his fist tightly in which I saw and let a lone tear... Now I'm scared...

"Shut it! You're weak, you can't manipulate me"

"Hands up! Drop your guns! We're the police!"

I let out a sigh of relief and gently smiled but I was still hissing behind Holden's back who is still holding the gun as Hui, the man is still not placing his gun down. Holden still doesn't let down his guard as he knows that this guy might attack any time, in such a surprising situation and in a time when we don't expect it to happen.

"Seems like you really want to end your life Holden" Hui smiled and slowly put his gun down, there were many police behind me and surrounding the three of us including Holden, once Hui finally placed his gun down and the police toon it, Holden also followed him and gave the gun to the police.

I thought everything will finally be at ease and fine but then Hui suddenly knocked a police infronf of him and stole the gun the police has, he aimed the gun directly at Holden pulled the trigger before anyone if us could even stop it...

"Holden!"

I hurried kneeled in the ground and placed his easy on my lap, he was shot in the stomach and blood were oozing out, I took a handkerchief from my pocket and started pressing his wound to stop the bleeding, but not that hard since the bullet is still inside his body...

"Are you okay? Please hang on, don't close your eyes please, stay with me" I held his hand as I know Hui is now getting handcuffed by the police, he keeps resisting but I know he was taken my the police already to the front yard. I heard a police asking for an ambulance and some people to held them since someone was shot.

Holden is now having. A hard time breathing properly, his hand slowly started to move up and then caressed my cheek. I kept crying, scared of that fact that I might lose him anytime... Not now... Please... Not now...

"I love you Selene"

Fear is what consumed my body now, I started trembling and shaking. No... This isn't true... He's going to be fine I know that...

"No, don't say that, hang on please, don't leave me"

"I won't leave you Selene, I'm always right here,bin you heart, and here in your mind. I'm going to protect you always, whatever happens I'll still need the Holden you know and I'll always be beside you. Truthfully I was scared to tell you about what I truly feel, no thought you'll fear me, neglect me and leave me, but I promise you, this time, I'm not your captor, this time I'll be your protector, I'll be your guardian. I love you"

I slowly fold the paper I have in my hand and let all the tears I have to fell, I looked at the emergency room beside me and shooked my head... No... It can't... No..

"I love you too Holden"
