Keith and Lance had been dating for a few years now and after saving the universe, coming back to Earth, and staying with Lance's family for awhile the boys bought an apartment together as they were both 20 and thought it was time to be on there own. Their favorite room was the spare room with a huge window looking out at the stars at night, they decided to live close to Lance's family who lived far from any big cities leaving the stars to be just as bright as they were in space. The room also had a couch, tons of plants, and an old fashioned record player. Keith had stayed up all night working in the spare room. He heard the sound of socked feet on the wood flooring, being part galra made him have great hearing, Lance walked up to Keith and wrapped his arms around his boyfriends waist from behind . Keith sat up on the stool where he was writing for his job at a local newspaper business. "Keith, babe, how long have you been up?" Lance asked concerned. "Uh....all...night. Your up Lance so you can't say anything. " Keith replied bearly listening and focusing on his work.
"You've been working so hard, you deserve a break. Please?" Lance asked. Keith shook his head, "No....I have to keep going, I'm so close." Lance rolled his eyes, "Your work will still be there after your break. Besides a break can clear your head and help you write better." Keith considered this then finally agreed. Lance grabbed Keith's hands and pulled him away from his desk making him sit on the couch. Lance smiled then went to the shelf on the other side of the room. "What are you doing Lance?" Keith asked smiling. Lance came back with a record and sat on the back of the couch showing Keith the song he chose, Stand By Me by Ben E. King. Keith shook his head at Lance's taste in music, "Really?" He asked. Lance pretended to look hurt, "Excuse me?! This is a classic!" He grinned before going over to place the record on the record player. The music began to play, "Come on Keith, dance with me." Lance said grabbing Keith's hands. Keith shook his head, "No, no, no I don't think so..." But Lance was already singing and belting out the lyrics. Keith rolled his eyes but let Lance lead him in a slow dance.

Lance spun Keith around before pulling him close and placing a kiss on his lips. Keith put his arms around Lance's neck while Lance's hands rested on Keith's hips. They broke apart, foreheads still touching, "I love you." Keith smiled looking into the love of his life's eyes. Lance returned Keith's smile, "I love you too." The song continued as they stayed like that swaying from side to side.
