School is finally over, but a new hell awaits me at home which I dread a lot, I rather face school than that place I call a home. Its still raining but well I don't have my own car, my sister does but you already know how my relationship with her is. I leave the school and start making my way to the house, the rain soaks me to the bone as I walk towards the school gate, I feel someone splash muddy water on me with their car, I look up from my mud stained clothes and see the person roll down the glass of their car, I should have known, only Ashley could be this spiteful,

"See you at home loser, better get ready" she smirks at me and drives of, she's right, I should really get ready, get ready to stay in my room without food that is and receive all the emotional and mental abuse known to man. I shake my head and continue making my way down the road, I don't know why people don't like rain, I prefer it to the sun because it reflects my own personal suffering, the best part is it hides me, it hides my pain, it washes away my things, in general it makes me feel invisible like I can do anything, but I can just feel that way for so long. I lose myself in my thoughts that I didn't even see the car pull up next to me, the person horns which makes me jump a little, I look and see a sleek midnight blue Lexus RX, I've gotta say, sweet ride, its clear that the person is loaded and isn't afraid to show it of unlike me that people actually question if I am really the daughter of the multi millionaire Mr Jacob Thorres, they actually see my sister as more of his daughter than me because she isn't afraid of showing of dads wealth. I continue staring at the car with awe until the person rolls down the glass and I see the last face I thought I will ever see

"Fancy seeing you here beasty, your fur ain't wet enough huh?" seriously, of all persons, why did it have to be Noah freaking King, I just turned away from him and continued walking, he continues driving beside me, "Hey, I'm talking to you, who do you think you are?" I just keep on walking, not once turning, I rather walk in the rain than talk to him, he slows down, just when I thought that he drove away, I feel someone grab my elbow and turn me to face them, Noah,

"Seriously, no one ignores me and gets away with it, you should be honored that I am even speaking to a mutt like you" I stare, thats all I do, stare I don't know what to say to him, he always insults me but I should be used to it by now but I still don't know why when he talks to me like that I feel so hurt,

"Are you crying? shit I'm sorry, I didn't mean what I said earlier, please don't cry, gosh I really don't know how to handle crying persons" I didn't even know when the tears were falling down my cheeks, normally the rain washes the tears but I'm surprised he saw them, even when they are obvious in school, people don't notice, but I have to say, seeing him panic like this because I'm crying actually put a smile on my face, before you know I'm laughing, as in full blown laughter, this is the first time that I am genuinely laughing for a very long time, I see him look at me and give me a puzzled look, I just continue laughing and before you know it, he gives me a playful glare and gives me a small smile, it was beautiful, I rarely see him smile, even if it was just a small one, it was hard to see Noah King smile accept with his best friends. I stop laughing all together but there was still a smile on my face, he just continues smiling at me then the smile disappears, he clears his throat uncomfortably then looks at me with his steely gray eyes, "So, do you want a ride?" I nod at him then enter his car, he enters the car too and put his heater into full blast, "Sorry if I get your seat wet" I say in a small voice with my head down, "Its a cool, don't worry about it".

We sit in the car in silence, the only time we talked was when he asked for my address which I gave him, when we finally pull up at my house, I can visibly see the shock on his face, "Wait, you leave with Ashley?" "Yeah, she's my step sister", I look at him and see the shock clearly written on his face, Ashley doesn't like to tell people that we are related at school so she forces me to keep my mouth shut about it, "Thanks for the ride" I say then step down from the car, I halt when I hear him call my name, "Kendal, see you tomorrow" I look at him in shock but still give him a small smile and walk towards the front door of my house, that is the first time he ever called my name, thats the first time anyone called me by my name in a long time, people have been calling me beasty since junior year so I actually got used to it but hearing him call me by my name sounded so foreign but I like it, I love it and it made my day. As soon as I reach the door knob, I let out a sigh, "Welcome home Kendal".
