I steal a glance at the girl sitting in the passenger sit of my car, she seems lost in thought, I don't blame her though, she nearly got raped by that asshole, only God knows what would have happened if I hadn't showed up, I shiver at that thought, she is really lucky that I followed her after school, it doesn't mean I'm a stalker or anything, I just wanted to make sure that she is alright because I mean I have to earn her rust and stuff so that I can win the bet,

"Do you actually still care about that stuff? Just admit that you care about her," my subconscious taunts, I scoff at that thought,

I can never care about someone like her, I mean look at her, then look at me, we aren't of the same class, there is no way that I would ever like her, right?

"Yeah, keep trying to convince yourself then you may actually believe it,"

I turn a bit to look at her again then face the road, Jack was right about something though, if she put an effort in taking care of herself, she would be really pretty but doesn't mean she isn't pretty now though,

I shake my head and concentrate on my driving, okay I think I need start up a conversation, I can't handle the silence,

"So..... are you alright?" I nearly face palm myself for asking that, off course she isn't alright, she nearly got raped for Christ sake,

"Uhm yeah, I'm okay, just a bit shaken up that's all," she says in a soft voice,

I feel an ache in my chest when she talked like that, she sounds so fragile, she's like something so delicate that could easily break If mishandled,

"C'mon Kendy, cheer up, I did save you remember?"

"Yeah, thank you, I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't shown up,"

My hands tighten on the steering wheel until they turned white, wait why I'm I suddenly angry about what could have happened to her if I didn't show up,

"You know what, I'm going to get your mind of this, screw it, we are going somewhere," I say changing directions,

"Where are we going?"

"You'll see, just hold on tight," I say with a smirk,

I didn't need to look at her to know that she was smiling.

I parked in front of a house, I caught the engine of my car then removed my seat belt,

"Hey Noah, why are we here," she asks looking at me, Is it funny that I liked the way my name rolled of her tongue,

"Just follow me," I say then step out of the car,

I walk up the front porch with her following close behind me, I push open the door and step inside, I wait for her to come in before I close the door,

"So...... why are we here? you know this is an abandoned building right? Wait are you trying to kill me and bury my body her? Oh my God I should have not allowed you bring me here, Please take me ba....." I caught her off by placing my finger on her lips silencing her, she looked down at her lips then up again frowning,

"I will tell you only if you keep quiet, understand?" I ask her like the way an adult asks a child,

She rolls her eyes but nods, I smile at her then remove my finger from her mouth, but I kind of felt little tingles on my finger, what was that?
