Our Love

Chapter 1

At a luxury Gold Coast mansion in Australia, Anastasia, a beautiful young 16 year old girl lay sleeping soundly in her bed. Brown hair tussled all over her fluffy pillows. Out of the quiet of a peaceful morning she hears "Anastasia will you get up please or we shall be late for the plane!" yelled Daniel her father. Anastasia is still groggily asleep on her comfortable queen size bed in her mansion house where she lives with other people who happen to be her father Daniel, 11 year old brother Oliver and 9 year old sister Ruby. These kids lost their mother 6 years ago in a car accident and they don't talk about her anymore.

Anastasia is 16 and isn't really a morning person, but she slowly gets up and walks to the bathroom to take a shower before she gets her bags to leave with her family, who are going on a holiday to a luxury island for the school holidays. Whilst Anastasia is in the shower all the family are down stairs in the opulent marble kitchen eating pancakes by the stack excited for the trip, " Father I am quite excited to go to the zoo and play at the hotel" says Oliver who is super excited to go on his first plane trip to somewhere. "That is great son you shall love it there, what is wrong Ruby darling you have not eaten your pancakes and these are your favourites?" says Daniel to his daughter Ruby. She looks up from her untouched food and looks at her father in a pale and emotionless face. "I am scared Father that the plane will crash and we should die" speaks Ruby in a hushed tone "well that is what Oliver said to me". Daniel looks at his son in a disappointed and frustrated look, while Oliver just gives his father a slightly amused smile back as they go back to eating there breakfast. Just as they finish it is 6:30 am and Anastasia comes down in short shorts and a crop top revealing a bit too much in her father's eyes, he says nothing and goes to his room to collect his bags and his children's and brought them to the front door for collection. While he's in his bedroom, the children downstairs are talking about what they will see on their holiday. "We might see dolphins!" says Ruby, Oliver says "we might see other kids there", "yeah and I bet there is a nice pool and spa there to swim and relax in, and be able to listen to my music alone in peace" speaks Anastasia, "and we might see dolphins!" ruby said again in enthusiasm. They were now so excited that they couldn't stop thinking of the possibilities of what might happen.

Twenty minutes later they were all at the front door ready to say goodbye to their mansion size household for 1 week. As they stepped outside the door they were met with a sleek black car with someone holding the door open for them. As someone took their bags to put in the back they quickly followed each other single file into the car and they all strapped on their seatbelts. "Hello Mr Reed, are you ready for your flight?" speaks the chauffer. "Yes ben thank you, take care while we are gone" Ben the chauffer gives a smile and goes to the driver's seat and starts driving. They all sat quietly and patiently in the car while the traffic was held up because of a burst pipe in the middle of the road. It took an hour to get to the airport so by now it was almost 8 o'clock. As they took their bags out of the car they waved goodbye to their chauffer and started walking into the airport to find their terminal and board the plane which leaves in 10 minutes. When they found their terminal a flight attendant showed them to their seats, they were all in different places on the plane because the children all wanted to feel superior and wanted to feel in control so they all decided to meet each other in the bag collection area in Hawaii. "Goodbye Gold Coast and Hello Hawaii" declares Daniel as he sits in his chair on the plane. He is seated next to a window and an old lady who is currently snoring. Daniel wasn't very happy about this and knew instantly that he wouldn't be getting any sleep on this plane any time soon. Oliver and Ruby sat together at the front of the plane so they could play with the flight attendants, while Anastasia was sitting at a window seat near the front listening to the blast of music going through her headphones trying to get some sleep and drown out everyone around her. When she was slowly falling asleep she felt something rub against her and some movement and when she opened her eyes and was about to yell she looked straight in the face of the person and her voice was caught in her throat looking into this boys dreamy blue eyes staring at her curiously. "Umm hi sorry if I woke you" she was snapped out of her daze and took a few seconds for her to realise that he was talking to her. "Oh yeah it's cool no worries I wasn't really tired anyway, my name is Anastasia what is yours?" she spoke "my name is Cody, nice to meet you" he says with a grin. They shake hands and she goes back to listening to her music and Cody sits down and has a nap. She looks at her dad and he is staring at Cody trying to death stare. The plane ride was a quiet one and everyone was in a good mood mostly. The plane ride took about 9 and a half hours and everyone was a bit jet lagged so once they met up at the bag collection they caught a cab to their hotel, went to their rooms and slept until the next day.
