Chapter 2

Back in the lower part of Doncaster London the Thorn family is packing and getting ready for their mothers business trip. Their mother Jade Thorn is in the dining room speaking to her boss on the phone “Yes…. Yes sir… I will…… don’t worry sir….. Ok bye”. “Boys get down here and eat some breakfast before we leave please!” yells Jade a beautiful British single mother with two boys, Christian 15 and Zach who is 10.  Their father left them when Zach was a baby and they act like they don’t need a father when they have an amazing mother and they are grateful kids who are down to earth. The boys run downstairs at the hearing of the word ‘eat’ and ‘breakfast’. Jade just laughs and carries her small suitcase to the door. When Christian and Zach finished eating they put their bowls in the sink and collected their bags from their rooms and walked to the front door. “Oh Zach sweetie I forgot my phone charger could you please collect it from my room while I call a cab to the airport?” says their mother with a smile. Zach quickly runs upstairs to collect his mother’s charger while she calls a cab. By the time Zach comes back Jade has already called a cab and they are all waiting out at the front, once the cab had arrived they got in and went to the airport swiftly and quickly. When they arrived at the airport and they paid the cab driver they hurried into the airport to get to the plane in time before it leaves for Hawaii. When they found their terminal then they went to their economy seats and got ready for take-off. They said goodbye to Doncaster and were ready to help their mother because this was a business trip since they don’t have enough money to travel or to have a holiday. It wasn’t a pleasant trip for the family of 3 even though they sat next to each other they heard a baby crying during the whole flight. The plane ride took just over 14 hours. And they were very tired from the plane ride so they collected their bags and caught a cab to their hotel and by the time they got to their rooms it was 3 o’clock in the morning. So they slept until they got enough energy to unpack and go look around.

It is now morning and the Reed family are energetic and ready to explore the hotel and island so they go to the hotel gourmet restaurant and eat some breakfast before they part ways to explore. Oliver and Ruby do everything together so they went to the local park with a hired local nanny to look after them. Anastasia went to the hotel pool for a swim for a bit and their father was looking around the hotel for the bar when he went past a door with murmuring inside. He looked at the sign door and it said ‘staff only’ so he put his ear to the door to listen because Mr Reed has always been a curious man. “Yeah did you here that Jade Thorn women came back again for the business trip but this time she brought her kids with her” said one lady. “Yes poor woman single and bringing up 2 boys alone” said another. Daniel got bored from listening so he left and kept looking, when it was mid-day the Reed family met in the main lounge room area in the hotel to do something together for the rest of the day. They decided to go to the beach for the rest of the day and play ball and have fun. Meanwhile the Thorn family are only just waking up except for Jade because she has been on the phone to her boss all morning finding out what she needs to do exactly and how long she has to do it. Christian and Zach have only just got up and are both having a shower then they are all meeting in their mum’s room to organise what they shall do today. “Ok kids so I have to go somewhere and talk to people, so kids do what you want but don’t pick up girls and don’t get in any trouble please I have to go and I’ll meet you boys tonight in the restaurant at 7 ok?’ says jade. “Yes mum go do what you need to do. Have fun mum we are going to the beach bye” speaks Zach as he and Christian leave to go to their rooms and gotten their beach things and meet at the front desk. Jade had already left by the time they met at the front desk at 12:30 and they started walking to the beach as they weren’t far from the there. Once the boys got there it was swarmed with people swimming and playing on the beach so they found a spot unreserved by anyone and placed their towels down and ran to the water to cool down.
