Chapter 6 <videos>

-september 12th, 2016-

"Mackenzie! Mackenzie! I need you for the video!"

Mackenzie rolled her eyes. Despite this being her own idea, she rolled her eyes at most of things Maddie did. In fact, she rolled her eyes at almost anything.

She put on a smile and walked in. Maddie was obviously in a really good mood.

"Hey, guys! It's me, Maddie!"

Mackenzie beamed. "And me, Mackenzie!"

"So, as you may know, we decided to move to LA. It's just got better opportunities...."

"We still love to dance, though!" added Mackenzie, who, although slightly bitter still, was glad she'd left the ALDC behind.

"We are going to be doing a heap of new stuff. One of them, this YouTube channel." Maddie spoke.

"Basically this video is a hello and welcome to our channel. We hope to put out heaps more content, and we hope you'll like it!" Mackenzie said.

"So if you do, like subscribe, and comment for more!"

"And remember-"

"We love you!" The girls said together, blowing kisses to the camera.

Maddie turned to Mackenzie.

"So what did you think?"

Privately, Mackenzie thought Maddie had done a fantastic editing job on their first! video- but Maddie couldn't know that.

"It's cool, I guess," Mackenzie said nonchalantly, "when are you gonna post it?"

"Now!" Maddie said, "Get ready to tweet and Instagram it!"

Mackenzie murmured something along the lines of "Typical white girl."

Maddie didn't hear her sister, which was just as well, because she was concentrating hard.

Twenty minutes later, and their very first YouTube video- together, that is- was out for the world to see. True to Maddie's word, they posted many links on the internet, and that night was the night Maddie and Mackenzie began their very first steps on the road to super-stardom.

-present time-june 14, 2019-

"Mackenzie! Mackenzie! New video!"

I blow a raspberry as I walk to our filming room.

"I know, I know- just a vlog, huh?"

"Yep," says Maddie, concentrating on unravelling her intricate fishtail braid.

She'd set up the camera and lighting already and for this vlog, where we were talking about the new things we'd been doing lately, we are sitting on the floor.

It may sound weird, but we do it a lot.

Maddie gets up. "Sit down here- I'll turn on the camera and mic."

I obey what she says and watch critically as she turns the things on.

"Ready!"

She sat down beside me.

"Are you ready to watch it?" Maddie asks. She's just been slaving away at our new video.

"Yep!" I holler, sitting next to her.

She pressed play and the video began.

Our beginning part played, and then it cut to us.
