I didn't wake up in daddy's arms like I expected. I rubbed my eyes as I heard him yelling in the other room. I knew I shouldn't but I sat up and listened.

"What do you mean my account is empty?!..When??.. Please tell me you are joking...Is she allowed to do that?..I need to go. I'll call you back."

I walked to the room he was in and stopped a little far back from him in fear of what was going on.

"What happened? Whats wrong?" I asked worried about him

"Your mom left us Blue.. She drained the shared bank account late last night and didn't show up to work.. I'm not worried about the money. We need to go to your house and check things out." He said looking at the ground. 

A huge knot formed in my throat from the fear and disbelief. We left immediately to go see if what we had been told was true. When we arrived we saw the sad truth. The woman that brought me into this world, the woman who raised me had abandoned me with nothing to say except for the short scribbles on a scrap of paper left on her bed that read 

"Harry, I'm sorry but I simply can not do this anymore. Please tell Blue that I love her and I'm sorry for leaving this way but its in the best interest for the all of us."

Her drawers were empty and her closet was left with nothing but the hangers dangling on the rack. The photos of her and I around the house were gone. Every trace of her existence vanished. The knot in my throat had exploded as tears flooded my eyes and poured down my cheeks. I fell to my knees devastated that all of the family I had was gone. No reason, just gone.

Daddy rushed over to me, taking me in his arms tightly as I sobbed into his chest, drenching his shirt within seconds. 

"Shhh" He whispered into my hair as he rubbed my back. "I don't know why she did this but I'm going to take care of you, baby. Anything you need or want, you've got it. I know that wont make up for what's happened but you're my little girl and I will never leave you like this. I'm going to have all of your things moved into our house Immediately. This place will be sold. You do not need any reminders of her okay?" 

My mind was running wild but I stayed quiet. Everything was numb. It felt like a death and I was grieving hard. He pulled me to my feet and let me out of the house as we made our way back to his or our  house. He called an assistant of his to have my stuff moved here immediately and to find a Realtor to take care of everything. He sat me on the couch  wrapped me in the softest blanket in the world and got me a cup of hot chocolate while he sorted everything out. I may have lost someone important to me, but I gained an amazing man in my life and for that, I am forever grateful.
