"Wait, so you're leaving? Gwen, you're gonna leave me?", asked Roger weakly. His eyes betrayed him, and tears started rolling down his pale cheeks. "Roger, it's where I belong. I know I have a daughter now, a beautiful one, but Roger we already talked about this. I'm sorry", answered Gwen. The words faded and silence took over the place. Both lovers were staring at each other with wet eyes, having a lot to say but saying nothing. Roger broke the silence that seemed endless, and said, "Gwen I..I always closed the door of the bedroom and prayed for infinite happiness embracing your existence, when you were in the garden reading books about magic, or preparing food for us to eat, or..or planting red roses-your favorite, or..Gwen I..will not be the wall standing in the face of your happiness. Shall the path that leads to your true home be smooth. It's just i had great hope that you may change your mind. I didn't know it would hurt this much. Gwen just-" He approached her and put one hand on her beautiful face, and held with the other her hand, "Remember me". They both embraced each other tight, it was beautiful but painful. Gwen walked towards the window, then turned to face her broken husband. "You'll lose me only if you thought you did. I'll always be waiting for you to find me. All you have to do is believe. I love you Roger Martel Edmond ", she said. Roger replied weakly, "I love you Gwen John Smith". Then Gwen opened the window and left the ordinary life and went into the magical place where she belonged.
