Katie at this point in time was ready for a change. We found something that she could use called an equicizer. It was made by Frankie Lovato and was in Ohio. So I contacted him and took her and a friend out for a mini camp where he worked with them on form. Katie came away learning a lot and we started planning on getting her own Equicizer. In the meantime Katie had to get approved with Garrett for racing in Maryland. So we made arrangements to go for that and I also contacted jazz napravnik and ask her to evaluate Katie and her horse Prince. Jazz told me about her elite jockey camp coming up and i started working extra shifts to pay for it for Katie. Katie spent three weeks with Jazz and learned a lot. When she was done she started galloping for Jonathan Sheppard. Entering into winter of 2013, we spoke with Graham Motion and was told Katie could ride in April when his horses are back from Florida.
which started on April 1,2014 and was no joke. Katie is now galloping three days a week..Two mornings before school. Special permission was given by the school board for her to ride. But she makes the time up after school.
As well as riding for a trainer, races start in a week. And its about to get busy. But more on the prep and training tomorrow.
