It's like a 20 minutes drive from my house to the school. Keni has been the one driving me everyday. And everyday we fight over what songs to listen to. The funny thing about me and Keni is although we're best friends,we're like worlds apart. We're so different in every way possible but still that didn't stop us from being friends. There's just something about her that draws me to her...maybe it's her loyalty to people. Trust me she's like this strong rock you can lean on. I don't get why some people like Keni, are beautiful both on the inside and out...

"Seriously, Keni why do you even listen to this? The song doesn't even make sense " I say to her ,throwing my hands up in exasperation. Who listens to country music in this 21st century, tell me, who!!.

She feigned hurt and turned to look at me. "Ouch Seli, obviously you my friend don't have any good taste in music "

"Says the girl who listens to country music" I retorted.

She ignored me.
Then cranked the music louder and started singing along. If you've ever heard a dying whale, coupled with an old frog croaking then you can pretty much imagine how terrible she sounded. It was driving me insane.

"Aaargghhh!!! "I screamed over the loud music , " Your voice really stinks you know that don't you "

"Yeah, but you love me all the same "she replied, laughing and leaning over, making silly kissy faces at me.

"I hate you"

"I hate you too"

Stupid best friend.

I tried turning down the music but she slapped my hand and narrowed her eyes at me.

"Don't you dare"

"Fine" I said, rubbing where she'd hit me.

Eventually, she turned it down and started playing some Bebe Rexha 's song I hadn't even heard. I wasn't going to complain though, it was way better than her stupid country music anyway.

"So Keni, did you figure out that Trig question from last week? "

"What?! We were given homework?! " and saying that she slammed on the brakes so hard I was hurtled towards the windscreen. (What? I don't like wearing seatbelts.)

"Jesus Christ Keni! " I exclaimed, "If you didn't do your homework you could just say it like every normal person would do".

"I'm sorry "she apologized.

She had parked the car and had started biting the inside of her cheek. She always does that when she's worried about something.

"oh my God, Seli, what am I going to do?"

"Yeah so like the good friend that I am, I might have just done mine and printed a copy for you "

She squealed and then pulled me into a rib breaking hug.

" You're the best Seli baby. What would I do without you" she muffled against me.

"Ccan't -breeaatthh"

"Oh sorry" she said, quickly releasing me from her arms. "But seriously though, thank you, you're a lifesaver "

"Yeah, yeah I know that and I also know that I want to get to school so step on it " I replied with a smug look.
