Chapter 5

Marissa's POV

I woke up to my phone vibrating. But when I opened my eyes it wasn't my phone vibrating. I saw that I was in Logan's apartment and he had his arm wrapped around my waist. He was sleeping and the movie had started to show credits.

I turned were I was facing Logan and he opened his eyes. He smiled at me and I smiled back. I rested my head on his chest. He left his arm around my waist and said, "So that was an interesting movie" with a laugh. "Yeah, although we slept through whole thing" I smiled.

-Logan's phone vibrating- 

"Oh Ayla's face timing me" he said. We both sat up and he turned on his vlog camera. "Hey Ayla" he said putting both of our faces in the frame. "Actually it's me" Jake said turning the camera to Ayla and Anthony. Ayla had a team 10 hoodie on and a ring pop on her finger. "I thought you were running errands" Logan said in confusion. "Meet the newest member of team 10 and Anthony's new wife" Jake laughed. "Ayla what are you doing?" Logan asked. Then the phone was turned to the floor were acetone was being poured on Maverick merch. "Don't burn my merch Jake!" Logan shouted jumping up. Chance lit the match and Logan hung up the phone.

"Why would Ayla do that?" he questioned. "I have no clue" I said comforting him into a hug even though he was a lot taller than me. "Maybe we should go to Jake's house" I suggested. "Okay but lets take my car" he said. "Okay" I replied.

--At Jake's house--

"Jake meet my friend Marissa" Logan said as I smiled and waved. "Hi" I said as I heard Ayla laughing. Logan pushed the door open and Ayla stood frozen. Then she sprinted up the stairs to a room and closed the door. Logan chased after her and knocked on the door.

"What a unique house" I said to Jake looking at all the holes in the wall and the indoor trampoline. "Why thank you" he said. Logan was upstairs for a while so I sat and talked to Jake. He was really cool and he gave me a team 10 phone case. I accepted but I just knew I shouldn't show Logan. "So why'd you burn the merch?" I asked him. "If I tell you can't tell Logan" he whispered. "I won't" I promised. "Okay" he said.

"So Ayla came over and said she wanted to prank Logan" he whispered. "So this was Ayla's idea?" I whispered back. "Yeah" he said back. Just then Logan and Ayla came back downstairs. She was now wearing maverick merch and she wasn't wearing the ring pop.

"What happened?" I asked "We-" Logan began before being interrupted by Ayla. "Oh nothing" she said with a grin. Was Ayla just trying to get Logan's attention away from me. "I'm going to head home" I said "We can drop you off" he offered. "No I'll get an uber" I said, "I can pay for your uber" he said. "I can pay for myself Logan" I said walking out of the house. Ayla's smile faded, maybe she felt guilty or not I didn't care I just wanted to go to my apartment. I walked outside and waited for my uber.

--At my apartment--

"Hey Lizzy" I said. "Hey how was your date?" she teased. "It wasn't a date" I laughed. "Besides Ayla went out of her way to get Logan's attention like she was jealous or something" I said to her. "Seriously?" she said, "Yeah, but enough about me what about you?" I asked. "What about me?" she asked. "Did you have any luck finding the Dolan Twins?" I said. "Actually they're going to the beach according to their snapchat so I'm going to go want to come?" she said. "Sure, I really need to get my mind off of Logan" I replied.

As I was getting ready I got a message from Logan.

From Logan:  

Hey can we talk?

I decided to ignore him after all I was trying to clear my mind off of him.

From Logan:

Please I really need to talk to you

To Logan:

What do you want to talk to me about?

From Logan:

What happened earlier

To Logan:

It's fine Ayla obviously wanted to keep that between the two of you so it can stay that way

I turned my phone off so I couldn't get any more notifications I just wanted to go and relax in the sun. But when me and Lizzy were walking down the sidewalk he was there again. "Lizzy I think I forgot something" I said trying to turn her around. "No you didn't your just avoiding Logan maybe you should just listen to what he has to say" she said. "Exactly but I don't want to see him" I said, "fine" she said.

Then he started to run and he grabbed my arm. "Marissa" he said. "Oh Logan I didn't even see you" I lied. "Did you get my messages?" he asked. "Oh no sorry, but me and Lizzy actually have somewhere to be" I said pulling Lizzy's arm.

Logan's POV

"Oh okay" I said. I felt like  Marissa was trying to avoid me but I didn't know what to do. So I explained everything in my vlog hoping she'd see it.

Marissa's POV

"Marissa!!!!" I heard Lizzy yell. "What?" I yelled running out the room. "Oh girl you scared me" I said. "Oh sorry but you need to watch this" she said clicking play. It was Logan and he was explaining everything about what happened in the vlog.
