Marissa's POV
When I got to the bottom of the stair case I tried to be quiet until I tripped on a water bottle and Jake turned in my direction. "Hey" I said trying not to make the situation more awkward then it already was. "Hey Marissa I didn't even here you come down the stairs" he said. "Oh" I laughed, "are you leaving?" he asked, I wasn't leaving so I had to make up an excuse. "No, I was getting Anthony a water bottle" I said, "why doesn't he get his lazy bum up and do it himself" he asked. "Oh he's in a middle of a game that's why" I say covering up my previous lie. "Oh" he said walking back over to Nick.
I grabbed my phone out of my pocket and turned it back on. My phone was buzzing with notifications on twitter. I was beginning to walk back up the stairs when Jake shouted "Don't forget Tony's water bottle" Just then Tony came walking down the stairs. "I never ask- I cut him off by saying, "Oh yeah the water bottle Tony asked for" nodding at him. "Oh yeah I did ask you to bring me water while Chance was on the game" he said smiling. I put my face into my palm realizing my lie isn't going to work anymore. "Wait Marissa said you were playing" Jake said with suspicion on his face.
"We- before Anthony could finish his sentence I stepped in "Okay you caught me I lied" I confessed. "But what for?" Jake asked confused. "Well I was walking down stairs and heard Nick say something about keep her off of her twitter. But then I tripped over a water bottle" I said and Anthony laughed at me. I hit him in his arm playfully and continued my story. "When you noticed me I had to think of a quick excuse so you wouldn't have thought I was eaves dropping which I kind of was" I said with a sigh. "Well something is going on, on twitter which is why you keep getting spammed, we don't want you to open t because it may be a hacker" he said.
Jake's POV
Honestly I felt bad that I had to lie to Marissa to cover up Logan's stupidity. Marissa was the little sister I never had. Even if she was a few months younger than me she was still my best friend. If I told her the truth her heart would have been broken. I didn't want to tell her people were spamming her account of pictures of a girl named Chloe with Logan on a beach. When I talked to her earlier she told me Logan said he was stuck on set all day. I'd rather hide this then tell her. I know if she finds out I was hiding this from her she'd hate me, but it's worth the risk. right? I wouldn't want to see my best friend hurt over my stupid brother. But if my plan fails I could possibly lose my best friend. Worry started to take over my body and I didn't know what to do.
"Jake are you okay?" Marissa asked snapping out of my thoughts. "Oh yeah I'm fine but you may want to delete your twitter app until this is situated so they cant trace your personal stuff" I lie to her. "Ok thanks" she says with a smile. Her smile was really beautiful and it hurt lying to her because she trusts me.
Anonymous POV
When I finished washing out the sand in my hair I rapped my hair in a towel. I checked over twitter to see if Marissa checked her account yet but post of Logan and Chloe were disappearing. My plan to break Lorissa up was slowly falling apart. I had to figure out another way. So I gave Ayla a call.
Call between Anonymous/An and Ayla/A:
A: hey
An: I need a favor
A: Ok what is this favor
An: Well I'm trying to break up Lorissa and your the perfect person
A: I already know I'm your second choice
An: What are you talking about?
A: Your Chloe Bennet plan failed and now you want me to help
An: Fine you caught me
A: But I'll help if you pay me in return
An: How much ya want?
A: 500 minimum
An: Deal
A: Deal cya later love
An: Cya later
