Hoseok sat quietly, hoping they wouldn't go to each of them for answers. He wondered why couldn't they ask more about what their ideal type of girl is. Wouldn't that seem like the better question to ask?
He didn't let so much as a sigh or pout leave his mouth, knowing full well the cameras were on. Now who to say. Anyone but Jungkook and anyone but Jimin. Suga would have his head. Maybe go for the worldwide handsome.
Soon enough everyone's focus the one sitting on the far right, which turned out to be him. He let out a smile, like nothing in the world was wrong right?
The MCs smiled back and repeated the question once more, and as best he could he said it loud and clear. "That's easy. I'd love to date Jin. Because he is a very good cook, and very handsome." Let's not forget the hand gestures to make it believable. "He will take care of me!"
Success. Laughs and nods of approval from everyone. Everything was alright in the world. 'Phew.'
Next up was Jimin, who made the obvious choice. Smiling sweetly, Jimin turned to Hoseok, turning on his aegyo to full power, "J-Hope! Because he is my hope! He is always happy and I trust him!"
Hoseok laughs and grinned as they hugged each other. It didn't really come as a surprise to him since once in a previous interview, the MCs had asked who they went to when they were feeling down, and everyone had pointed to Jimin. Except Jimin, of course; he pointed to Hoseok.
Hoseok blanked out for a bit, and without realizing, he let Jimin rest his hand on his leg. Nothing out of ordinary for them. But before he knew it, Jungkook pointed to him. Not to Jimin, to him.
"I'd date J-Hope." Jungkook said.
Everyone turned to Jungkook then Hoseok. Immediately so because everyone expected him out of all people to pick Jimin. Hoseok froze and he couldn't even hide it from the camera. "Because he's really a person to look up to. He really helps a person when they need help, and is always there when you need someone to talk to."
Hoseok and Jungkook didn't stop looking at each other, knowing exactly what the other one was thinking. But going so far as to directly say exactly what he meant in his head? In front of all those people, all those cameras? Jungkook was gunning at Hoseok, even if no one knew about it, and that itself made him pissed off.
Everyone in the group seemed to notice the atmosphere, but it was too quiet for comfort. Jimin raised a brow and smiled innocently at Jungkook, but it felt weird, "I guess we're going to have to fight for him then, Junggeuk!"
Hoseok didn't understand. Why was he trying to make it so obvious? If everyone found out..
"I guess we will." Jungkook snickered as he gestured throwing punches towards Jimin.
Thankfully the MCs moved onto Taehyung who replied Jungkook. The pace seemed to quicken, with the MCs talking more hurriedly now since the show was coming to an end. And slowly Hoseok was becoming more relaxed, forgetting completely what had happened.
When the show was over the group repeatedly thanked everyone for having them. Politeness and joyfulness were a must, and even if he wasn't thinking of what Jungkook had said, Hoseok's energy was faltering.
As they said their final goodbyes to the team, and meeting up with some fans, each of them got into the car that would take them to where they would eat dinner.
Namjoon was going over what the next day's agenda was going to be. They really didn't have much planned except rehearsal for the upcoming concert a few weeks away. They knew all the dances, but they were needed on stage to test out the effects and lighting.
