Prism of Light(improved)

We are mankind,
the most intelligent species of this Earth
yet we are flawed and incompetent.
We have been Dominating the land and Exploring the deep seas
since the beginning of time.
We are blessed to live
on such a wonderful planet
but look at what we have done
to the great mother.

We've existed for many centuries.
We've survived the black plague
and many tragic wars.
We experienced awakenings
and lived in a golden age.
We faced catastrophes together
as a united front
and must continue to do so.
We've done so many great things and developed civilization
but also caused destruction.

Our human minds are complex.
We have different views.
As we express our opinions,
we teach and learn to improve.
Our hearts beat the same.
We feel love and sorrow.
It swoons with happiness and anger.
Our emotions are ever changing.

Our blood is a bold red river.
The skin is black,brown,white,or tan
The eyes are blue,green,or brown
but Our blood remains the same.
We are of different ethnicities.
We have different cultures and religions.
But we are still one race.
And Now we must unite.
To save the land we call home.
To spread love and hope.
Because we are all human.

I race through the road of time.
I've seen death and life.
I felt the despair and hope.
I heard screams of anger and joy.
Most importantly I found the strength and courage to live and survive. I kicked and screamed my way to the end, so will you.

We've persevered and kept going no matter the odds. Our persistence and resilience are the keys to success.
Slaves had finally found freedom after centuries.
Traditions are kept alive with stories forever told.
The history is known so we learn from mistakes to improve and grow.

Here I lay still in my resting place.
Memories flow. The good. The bad.
But I see. I know.
Hope still exists.
The possibility of
Unity, peace, and life.
I pray that people
Accept difference.
Encourage difference.
And love difference.

I named this "Prism of Light" because one ray of light passes through and a variety of colors is revealed similar to people which are one race but have differences. The original is more simple than this version. Let me know which one you prefer. I'm not very sure about the new one but this is just one of many revisions.
