Recap:
"As I stared, my eyes slowly widened as I recognized the object, my heart stopped completely, the board."
-
The longer I stared, the colder I felt. I kept trying to get up and run, scream or anything, but I was frozen in place. I became aware of the sounds I heard around me, there was a low chuckle in the darkest corner, which I now found odd, due to the dim light in my room illuminating everything, followed by a faint vibration in the floor, which was enough to get me moving.I bolted to my door, only to have it magically slam shut, what the fuck?! This isn't Ghost Adventures. I tried yanking it open but it stayed shut, just like they do in the movies. I began banging on the door and calling for Liam and Niall, but after the continuous banging on my end, no one showed. Those bastards, I'm about to die and I'm going to make sure I haunt the shit out of them.
"Tsk tsk, darling, I would stop before you hurt yourself," Could be heard as the little dim light in the room turned completely off.
If I thought I was terrified before, I was wrong. I turned around to at least allow my back to feel safe against the surface of my door as I stared out into my room that was barely lit by moon light. But then again saw I nothing. I stayed still for God knows how long, wondering if my ears were playing tricks, because apparently that's what happens in this state of mind. I heard nothing.
"Hello?" I eventually stuttered out. Way to go lou, we have already established something is here.
After a few minutes of silence accompanied by my slight heavy breathing, I had composed myself enough to slowly turn for the door knob. As I reached out, the second my hand touched my exit way, a firm ice cold mass touched my shoulder. The small hopeful part of my mind was hoping it was Niall, but that was just wishful thinking. The touch gave me enough willpower to rip open the door and bolt for the stairs, hearing nothing but the sinister laugh of someone other than the Irish man.
"We're just getting started, Darling"
As I entered the living room, Liam and Niall were still in similar positions, and briefly looked up at my frantic state before resuming their actions. Rude.
"Um, hello, did you not just hear my pleas for help up there?" I raged out agitated, bothered by the feeling of cold sweat on my skin.
"What? No, we heard nothing, it's been peacefully quiet ever since your absence, what could've gone wrong?" Niall asked.
Boy, if you knew. "There's something in my room," I rushed out.
Judging by the looks they were both giving me, they thought this was another joke.
"No, you don't understand, the-" I cut myself off, this is urgent, just get straight to the point. "Look, I know this sounds like a prank and all, but I'm completely serious when I say this, I need your help, something is wrong," I say begging they'd hear the fear and plea in my voice.
They stared for a moment, before hesitantly urging me to explain what I meant, the disbelief still written on their faces. "I believe now. I don't know what's out there in the ghost world but it's definitely not nothing. Ever since that bloody board, I've heard thi-this voice," my body and voice shuddering as the dark laugh replays in my frantic mind. "And, now it's somehow here, and I don't know what to do," I concluded with slightly watering eyes.
