Jeff sat limp in his arm chair. He couldn't just do nothing. He had to do something. He hulled himself out of the old chair and brought himself to a standing position. Jeff ran his hands through his long black hair and sighed. He wandered over to the kitchen and yanked the cereal box out of the cupboard and jammed his hand into into it. It was the only thing he had to eat in days. He decided it was time to got and get some more food.

Jeff made his way slowly outside. The sun beat down on his head heating his insides. It made him feel rather uncomfortable. Jeff through over his hood. Getting food was a rather risky business since Jeff couldn't just waltz into a store. He had to sneak it out of somebody's house. He didn't like to think of it as stealing. He thought of it more as a gift given to him.

He wandered through the alley ways looking for a house he hasn't scavenged yet. It was hard finding one that didn't have and alarm and that there was no one home. But finally Jeff came upon a worthy candidate. It was a moderate sized house. It was painted a light brown, trimmed with white.

Jeff grasped his hands around the top of the fence and pulled himself over landing silently on the opposite side. He stayed low as he rounded the house to find the side door. He clamped his hand around the door handle and slowly opened the door. No alarm. Jeff stood up straight and looked around to see if he had any prying eyes on him. Nothing. He pushed his ways inside stepping lightly as he entered the house. The interior was your normal interior. Nice couches and chairs. He made his way through the living room and turned into the kitchen.

Jeff hurriedly opened the cupboards and took what he could. Some chips and more cereal of coarse he even got his hand on some soup. He went over to the fridged and stuffed bottles of water into his backpack. He was about to leave when a thought occured to him. Maybe there was some more food upstairs.

Jeff climbed the stairs watching for any movement ahead. He got to the top to see pictures hung on the wall. Pictures of a family. One which he used to have. They all seemed so happy in all of the pictures. There was a little boy, a mother and a father, But the one that truly caught Jeffs eye was the girl. A girl about 16 with eyes that glowed like blue flames. Her hair was as black as obsidian and her skin looked to be smooth to the touch. She was magnificent. Jeff shook his head and cleared it of the thoughts.

He turned into a fair sized bedroom and opened a couple of drawers. Nothing. He sighed and shrugged his sholders. He turned around to find the girl in the photo staring at him with a baseball bat in her hands. Shit. That was the only thought that crossed Jeffs mind. The girl tightened her grip and swung at Jeff. He dodged the blow and landed on the bed.

The girl went to swing again and stopped. "Before I beat the pulp out of you.... Who the hell are you? And what are you doing in my room?" Jeff backed up until his back was against the wall. He wasn't sure how to answer. "Uh. I-I uh."

she swung the bat behind her "Just answer already!" Jeff flinced. Damn. The girl was feirce.

Jeff stared into her eyes. Her BlueFire Eyes. "M-My name is Jeff." He stuttered. The girl raised an eyebrow. "And why are you in my room kind sir?" Jeff didn't

know how to respond. He had never been caught before. "Well I.... I was just picking up some food and I... well I found my way into your house." The girl laughed. "Dont look so scared. Im not gonna hurt you." She smiled at Jeff. Her smile took his breath away.

Jeff stood up. He was a fair bit taller then the girl. His hood fell back revealing his Cuts. He was suprised by the girks reaction. She didn't Freak out. She just looked at him and said "Well that's an interesting look." She gave a little laugh. She wasnt afraid of Jeff. He couldn't help but to let a smile drift upon his face. She put out her hand as if too shake Jeffs. He gripped his hand around hers "My name is Rayne. It's nice too meet you Jeff!" He replied with a simple "It's nice too meet you too."
