April 7
Riley, I remember the very first time I saw you. It was the first day of freshmen year and I had transferred here from Texas after a certain incident. It was the first class of the day and you came up to me all smiley and introduced yourself, Maya, Farkle, and Smackle. The first thing I noticed about you was your big beautiful eyes and how much I wanted in get lost in them. You had me hooked from the start. I didn't really realize that that was the day my life changed. Because that was the day you came into my life.
Since then, we became friends. We had (and still have) majority of the same classes together, allowing us to get closer as the days past on. It didn't take me long to find myself falling for you. I fell for your smile, your laugh, your humor, and just you in general. The thing that made me fall even more for you was that you never judged me the way others did. Ever since the first day at John Quincy Adams, I found myself with a bad boy reputation, but you never cared for it. You didn't allow others to decide for you and you got to know me yourself. You're probably the second person that I've ever truly let in (Zay being the first).
When I first realized my feelings for you, I tried so hard to push them away. Every single time you looked at me or smiled my way or talked to me, I tried to convince myself that I wasn't feeling butterflies. I tried so hard to push those feelings away because I wasn't good enough for you. I've never been good enough for you, Riley. Obviously my attempts didn't work and I ended up kissing you one afternoon when we were studying for our chemistry test. The rest was history.
Riley Matthews, I'm in love with you. I can't imagine a day that I won't love you. You're my princess, but I'm not your prince and you deserve better.
Love,
Lucas-
