Hello everyone who has read my short story and to those who will read it! Just want to say that this short story has been a long time work in progress. I had started it some time last year... or maybe it was closer to two years now. Who knows. But it's finally finished!
I wasn't sure if I wanted to make this is a long fiction or keep it short when I had first started it. I had many ideas floating in my mind and had scattered notes on my phone with little bits of story line wrote down. When I actually sat down and started writing, it was then that I realised, "wow, writing is hard."
Many writer's blocks and procrastination went into this short story. And I'm not ashamed to admit that I shed a tear or two when writing the ending. I had made up Kassie in my mind years prior to writing this so I had quite a fondness to her and was deeply saddened when I thought, " oh hey! Let's kill off the main character! That's a fantastic idea!"
Maybe Kassie will show up in other fictions and short stories and we can just forget that this minor detail exists. It is fiction after all!
