Chapter 3: The escape

(Katherina POV)
The next day, he really did come back to the room with Mikasa and asked me questions about my father. "Yes," are most of my answers. I feel a little guilty and unrighteous whenever I opened my mouth for either more information but I keep on telling my self this is the legitimate thing to do. After getting all the informations they need, the shorty and his--maybe apprentice or whatsoever Mikasa went out and adviced me for a rest.

"Very well done." The shorty mumbled before he completely vanished from the door.

I was left in the room again alone having no idea of what next do they need me for. Later on, Mikasa came back with books and DVDs. "The lance corporal thought you'd be bored. So I brought these here." She said as she place them on the mini table beside my bed. I stared at the books with a frown.

"You think I read?" I sarcastically asked her. Her cheeks blushed a little and there was a bit of embarrassed expression on her face.

I sat up as the chains on my left hand tinkles. I grabbed the DVDs and scanned them one by one. "I watch action, these does not seem action. They're all boring!"

"Just watch it or I'll kick you right on the face!"

The bitch got a temper. Okay, I thought it was a little funny. It was like she's not a good speaker and entertainer so that was just what came out her mouth. Threatening me huh. She grabbed the DVD player on a shelf then put it beside me then walked away from the room.

"Bitch," I murmured.

I rescanned the DVD and finally found one. I tried it on this--i don't exactly know how to operate this. I mean, this one look so new. Too many buttons. I searched for the power button and clicked it. Cool! But how do I play the DVD? I searched every corner of this technology but I found none. I am so pissed already. "Damn it! What exactly are you?!"

With a frown, I combed back my bangs with my hand and sticked it there for a moment. I stayed frozen. I don't know what exactly I am thinking. Not too long when the rain started. The sound really feel good. I closed my eyes then fell asleep.

Few hours later, here I am, awake and... reading this book she gave me. T'was all about a boy who goes up this giant plant of the magic beans and found another world on top of it. Giants appeared and...ah... I found my self nodding as I go on to the next page.

Before I could finish the story, a loud bang echoed. I also felt the floor move with it. This is not good! "Hello?!" I froze for a moment assuming for another sound but I heard no more. But I can sense something's going on outside. Well, this building is a sound proof.

"Hello?! If something's going on, don't forget I'm here!" I assumed someone could still hear me.

There was a moment of silence then suddenly the door slammed open. The shorty appeared with a smoke coming from outside and quickly unlocked the chain from the side of the bed. "Shouldn't you just unlock it from my wrist--" he quickly pulled the chain as I was being dragged with it. Not cool! "Wait, the book I am reading! I still didn't Finnish it!"

"There's no time!"

"Just a couple of minute--"

He let me wear a helmet, I don't know what its called exactly but he said its a protective gear. He then dragged me with him on the thick smoke. He was running so fast that I hardly catch up. Some men in black keeps appearing from nowhere but I'm so impressed he managed to take them down with his fast drawing gun only just using his one hand. I on the other hand was just being swished and swooshed to his right, to his left and to his back. Until we reached the outside, there were three helicopters waiting for us. A man escorted us to the other one and helped me get in as it starts to slowly board up.
