Chapter 6: Meeting the new friends

(Katherina's POV)
I woke up a little late.

After preparing all my things needed for bath, I went out my room. The only bathroom is located on the first floor. I am whistling my favorite song as I go down the stairs when I nearly bumped at Mikasa's head waxing the floor. At first, I was about to freak out since she nearly looked like a lurking ghost. But when she raised up her head on me, she looked completely pissed as her sweat rolls down her face.

"What are you still doing there? Walk already!" She nearly shouted with exhaustion in her voice.

My mouth circled as I pass by her. Surely she has been killing Levi in her mind now. "Want some help?" I asked buy she refused to answer. "I'm just going to take a short bath then I'll help you later." I said then quickly went to the bathroom. But when

"Mikasa?!" I searched for her as soon as I got out the bathroom until I saw her already far from the corner she was on when I saw her. "Oh, you're that far already!" I titened the grip of the towel on my head then searched for another cloth to use on waxing the floor.

The door suddenly opened as Levi comes in...with some guys. One with a blonde hair and one with black. Levi quickly went to the sofa and sat down there heavily breathing. Where exactly is he from? He looks exhausted this morning. The other two came in with a smile on their faces. "So, you're the young miss." The blonde haired guy smiled at me. I just nodded with my eyes narrowed. "Well, I am Reiner Braun and this is Bertholt Hoover, your corporal's other friend.

"Ah, I'm Katherina Gomez. Nice to meet you!" I said with a smile. Really, I'm so happy. Someone who knows how to talk finally have come to save me!

"Hey there Mikasa! After years of not seeing each other, this is how we see you again and you seemed to be doing fine." Reined turned to Mikasa. I don't know if he was mocking her or what but Mikasa seemed triggered. I only saw her back tremble but I bet she wasaking the face right now.

"Ah, I will prepare you some snacks." I said but they quickly stopped me.

"We just finished eating. Sir Levi was the only one who still haven't. We just came here for a visit." Bertholt explained with a shy smile as he scratches his nape.

"Uhm, maybe I'll tour you around the house!" I happily offered and Reined quickly reacted.

"Let's go! It's been too long since the last time I stepped here. I  expecting changes now."

"Yes, I did decorated some."

Bla bla bla. I was really so happy that we were going on an unstoppable conversation right now. After touring the house, they took their turn to also tour me around the village. Great!

Levi just nodded when they asked for his permission. We just passed by Jun near the door who is reading some mews paper articles.

(Jun POV)
It was already nearly evening but the three of us left in the house still didn't get that long of a conversation. I did have some talk with corporal Levi but it wasn't that long. I couldn't even take his glares for long anyway. But he really seems a very interesting person. I just learned he was aware of my relationship with Katherina but he didn't ask for further more information. He is not a person who seed to be interested on another person's life. I like that personality of his. Mikasa on the other hand was probably in her room getting some rest right now. She really took all the punishment the whole day and I saw how exhausted she was. These two here does have something similar except for their last names after all. They just really don't seem to be cool at each other. I wonder how are they taking their time working at each other this way.

Minutes have passed and sir Levi came out his mysterious room with his eyebrows about to meet. "Oi, the brat seems to be Stoll out," he frowned at me.

"Yes sir, she still haven't arrived."

He came to the sofa and sat down there with me as I continue cleaning the only gun I had. More minutes passed and he stood up heading straight through the door. Suddenly, it already opened before he could do that. There was Katherina already. Coming in with loud pants. She seemed to have been more exhausted than Mikasa. We just watched her take the stairs.

(Katherina POV)
"Your friends does not only talk a lot. They also have these kids with them adding up more to their mouthy mouths." I turned back to shorty boss before I continued walking up stairs.

"Yea, I just figured a brat needs someone to play with." He mumbles which I still heard. I was already too tired to shout at him so I just let this one away.

I went straight to my bed then laid my exhausted body. Overall, I still did enjoy being with the new friends. Iean, at least they talk.
