Levi's POV
...Petra,"
I fell to the floor seeing that name,
"IS THIS SOME SORT OF CRULE JOKE!" I scream pounding my fist of the floor,
"Who did this..." I stutter,
"Who, DID THIS!"
I start to scream with my head on the floor, I scream and I cry... The front door is still wide open. Shaking, I get up onto my knees and grab the envelope. I look closely at the letters... This is. This... This is her hand writing. It definitely is her hand writing...I cover my mouth with my hand and close my eyes. My breathing becomes heavier and a salty tear stings my eye and streams down my face. I gently place my hand over the writing... My tear falls from my face and stains the envelope.
I wipe away my tears with the back of my right hand and turn the letter over. Carefully, I start to open it...
I unfold the peace of yellowish tinted paper, the black ink is waiting for me. This is the moment, isn't it. Where I'll read it and all it will say is how it's a prank, and this small, piece of hope will be crushed...
I start to read the letter...
"Dear Levi,
By now, Hanji should have given you this letter. Yes I rote this months in advance. I just, want a way to talk to you ,and, explain, everything to you. The first thing I want to say is, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry Levi. It's all my fault..."
"No... No Petra, please. Please don't say that... Petra please." I say as tears start to fill up my eyes...
"I'm sorry I couldn't live longer. I'm sorry that I can't be the one who makes you happy, forever..."
"You, are t-the one, and always will be, m-my l-love..." I choke on my words.
"I didn't want to tell you, I didn't want to worry you. But, I'm sure you have heard this all form Hanji. I hope I made the right decision..."
"I have. And, you did..."
"I just hope, your not angry, with my decision... With me..."
"No, never. How could I be mad at you, your the love of my life..."
"I have some things to tell you. What I want you to do.
Levi, I want you to live. Don't stay in the past, move forward. I want you to live your life, be free. Be happy. Have fun!
I just want you to remember, I love you. I love you so much Levi, don't let me stop you from living your life. But, don't forget me..."
"How could I ever forget you Petra, I love you..."
" I love you... I've said this so many times now. But it's the last time I ever will...
I want you to know, I'll always be with you Levi. You'll never be alone, ever again. I'll be right beside you. So if you ever feel alone, just know I'm there, wherever you are. You may no longer be able to see me, hear me, touch me. But I am right there next to you no matter what Levi. I'll live on through you...
That's all I have to say."
"No! Petra please, please don't go yet... I don't want this to be over..."
"Remember, live your life, be happy, I'm always with you. Good bye Levi, I'll always love you.
See you later my love.
-Petra xxx"
"Please don't go... Please. I-I love you to, P-Petra."
I could almost see her, kneeling in front of me. Lifting my head up, wiping away my tears. Smiling. Kissing me on the forehead. Whispering,
"I love you," before disappearing.
With that I collapsed onto the floor and cried for hours....
Holding the letter, to my heart...
