Chapter 1

Perta's POV

"It's not good Miss Ral,"

"It's terminal."

"You have three months at most."

"I'm sorry Miss Ral, there is nothing we can do."

These words echoed round my head on the way home. And ever since that day... So many questions... No answers... What am I going to do... How do I tell him... Do I tell Levi? I decided not to. I don't what to worry him. Or for him to treat me differently... It sounds selfish or something. But it sounds like the best option for me, I don't know why... But, I'll continue my days like always, until the end. I will still be my normal self, having fun with the one I love.

(A few weeks later,)

"I'm going to go outside," I say to Levi,

"Ok I'll wake you up if you fall asleep again." He replies with a small smile.

"Thank you,"

"No problem."

"I love you, Levi."

"I love you to, Petra,"

With that, he gave me a hug and a kiss and I stepped into our beautiful garden.
It was a large open place with a wooden tall fence around the boarder. In the right hand corner, there was the shed. In the left there was my favourite spot. On a small hill. I mean tiny peace of raised grass, there was I tree. I love that tree, beautiful throughout the year. But in spring and summer, I love to sit beneath it, in the sun. This is where I'm going to sit. When I leave this world... I hope Levi knows I love him. I hope, I h-hope... I, I ...don't know anymore. As a single tear runs down my cheek I whisper my last words,

"I love you. L-Levi"

It was dark, I could no longer feel the warm sun on my face, on my body. Warming me. It was cold. I think about my life. What I did wrong, how, perfect it was, in the most, bizarre way. My life with Levi all the perfect times. I wouldn't change my life for the world. My only regret is that I couldn't live longer. That I have to cause people pain because I'm leaving... I'm sorry. I love you... Le-

Levi's POV

She's such a sweet, beautiful, strong, woman. I love her so much. I hope I can, spend the rest of my life with her, she's perfect. Once I'm done cleaning this room, I'll go check on her. It won't take me long. I enjoy cleaning but, I love it when she cleans with me, she makes it fun. She says she has fun. But I'm pretty sure she just says that to be sweet.

All done. I'll go see how she is.

"Ah, she's asleep." I say to myself, "I better go wake her."

She's so cute when she sleeps. She looks so peaceful. Content. At rest.

"Petra, wake up. Petra, Petra. Petra?"
She's not waking up, why isn't she waking up? I start to shake her, gently at first.

"Petra. Petra? Petra! Petra! PETRA! PETRA! PETRA! WAKE UP PLEASE! PLEAS PETRA PLEASE!"

I let go. Breathing heathy and tears filling my eyes. What's the matter with her. Is she ok? That's a stupid question of course she's not ok! Wait is she... She's not... She's not breathing. I have to call an ambulance.

"Hello, what is the emergency."

"I need an ambulance! My girlfriend is not breathing!"

"How long has she been like this."

"I don't know! Just come quick!"

"Have you tried CPR?"

"No."

"Ok tell me where you are and as the ambulance is on its way"

I told them my location and they replied with,

"Ok the ambulance is on there way."

CPR, CPR. CPR! I have to try! DAMIT! It's not working!

"Petra please, please wake up... what do I do now! I'll call Hanji, she'll know what to do! Maybe..."

"Hello? Levi? What is it???

"Hanji. Petra stopped breathing, I don't know what to do. I called the ambulance, there on there way."

"..."

"Hanji? Are you still there?"

"I didn't think this day would come..."

"What?"

"I didn't want to believe it.."

"Believe what..?"

"..."

"ANSWER ME GOD DAMIT!"

"She's gone..."

"No. don't say that. They can save her!"

"She's gone, Levi. There's nothing we can do."

"What the, WHY WOULD YOU SAY THAT? WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU FOUR EYES?"

"SHE TOLD ME LEVI!"

"What on earth?"

"She knew this was going to happen Levi. It's hard, to explain. She, was sick."

"What..."

"She didn't want to tell you Levi, she didn't want you to change the way you thought about her, the way you treated her."

"Why would she..."

"She thought it was for the best, I'll explain more later Levi, I. I need a moment... I'll come ov-"

"WAIT!"

"Hu?"

"She, she does, di... did. Love me, didn't she?"

"Yes, Levi. She loved you more than anything... That's why she did this. You'll understand later. Good bye Levi..."

"Bye, Hanji..."
