"It's not good Miss Ral," Levi X Petra

Chapter 2

Hanji's POV

I can't believe it, my best friend, is gone... I knew it was coming, but. Some stupid little part of me thought it would never happen. That she would live forever. That she would be happy forever. I thought about a world where Petra Ral would never die... But she's gone, she's really gone. My best friend. Is no longer with us. Gone...

-time skip to later that evening-

Levi came over to my house, he was going to stay here for a while. He had to get away from their home. He's distraught.

"So. Levi, would you like me to explain everything now, or do you need more time?" I say to him softly and comfortingly. Sliding a little closer to him on my sofa.

"Now. Pleas, please tell me everything," he replies quietly not looking up from the ground as a single tear dripped from his face hitting my dark wood floor. It's been a while since I have seen him cry...

I had barely had a chance to process this all myself, never mind him. I take a deep breath, sigh, and start,

"I'll start from the beginning, Petra first told me around three months ago..."

I see Levi shift and start to fidget, I continue to explain the story of how Petra came to me after her appointment, crying and asking for help. How I froze, how we talked all night. How she came to the conclusion not to tell Levi. How she talked about everything she wanted, what she wished for. As I spoke tears streamed down his face, but every time I mentioned how much she loved him I'm sure I saw a small sad smile spread across his face but it was gone as soon as it came.

As Levi doesn't show his emotions often, I couldn't read them. I can't make out how he feels. I'm not sure if he even knows how he feels. I don't blame him...

"I can, I can see you need your time, I'm going to my bed. I'll see you in the morning, or you can wake me if you need me." I say as I get up and walk to my room, "Good night, Levi" he nods in reply.

That night I got no sleep...

All I could hear...

Was him crying all night long...
