Chapter Eleven

Man, all of this stuff happening in one day. It makes me feel like it's been 3 months. Overall I just hope everything is cleared up and wounds are healed. in fact I need to make things right with someone real quick

Me: Hey Kanisha, can I have a word with you

Kanisha: Oh, umm...sure. Follow me to the back yard

Me: Alright.

We walk to the back yard and as always, it looks beautiful. We sit down on the couch and as I look at her, damn she is just beautiful. And for me to say the things I said was a dick move hopefully she will forgive me and let me have a chance to make things right.

Me: I know this is awkward but I want to first say, I'm sorry. I've been an asshole toward you, said things that weren't true and allowed myself to hurt a beautiful strong woman. I should have been my own leader but I followed the crowd in order for my brother to change his ways to admit his feelings. It was stupid and ignorant of me to do it and I apologize.

Kanisha: Well, thank you for your apology but I want to ask you what makes you think that I'm going to forgive you all of a sudden and even give you a chance.

Me: That's the thing, I don't expect you to. If anything I would probably be the one on the list of people you want zero to do with and that's ok and I'm cool with it. I made my bed and I have to lay in it. If you do forgive me and don't want nothing to do with me I'm fine with that I would just be grateful for the fact you forgave me. Overall I just apologize for everything I've done to hurt you, the girls also but mainly you.

Kanisha: Wow, the fact you put all of that together I give you credit for it, but I just can't. I'm sorry some of the things you said you hit way below the belt and it's hard to get over.

Me: It's ok, I totally understand. I thank you for even just taking this time to let me apologize to you.

I get up and don't even dare to look at her. I don't deserve to look at her after what I said but I know that at the end of the day I was man enough to admit my mistakes and I'm just glad she allowed me to even apologize to her. I cleared that out the way and now I just need to apologize to the other girls and then I will be able to forgive myself and be ready for the redemption boot camp. I go over to Princeton and Roc and sat down and talked.

Jacob: How did it go with Kanisha bro

Me: It didn't go all that great. She may have forgiven you all but me,I'm not on the list.

Chres: Awwh damn man, I'm sorry that happened

Me: No no no it's ok, I deserved it. I committed the act and now I have to pay for it. The others have forgiven me and the fact that I was able to talk to her and apologize I felt automatic relief, and now I'm ready for this redemptoin camp and as much as I would love to connect with Kanisha I know it won't go anywhere and I just need to do this for myself and my family and for the next person that comes into my life.

Jacob: Those are some powerful words man

Chres: For real. I swear whether it is you or Jacob y'all have powerful words

Me: That may be true, but like they say great power comes with responsibility and I was irresponsible with my words and abused it.

Chres: Like you said we all will be able to regain ourselves through redemption boot camp. So overall that is all that matters.

Me: Thanks man well let me go over here and check with Tete and Ray Ray.

Chres P.O.V

Damn, I swear Kanisha is stubborn as hell. I get it we messed up but damn you couldn't let your hard headed self forgive him just once. We all make mistakes and it's not like we do it on purpose but we understand the consequence and we are trying to make up for it. Just hearing that makes me question if I should even make an effort to apologize. But for my bro's to even make that attempt to apologize to the girls they love I need to make that same effort. I excused myself headed over to Erin who was talking to Natalyah and asked to speak to her. She was cool with speaking to me and Natalyah walked right over to Princeton and sat right next to him and started having a conversation. Go ahead Princeton get your woman. We walk out the front door and sat on the steps.
