You are very critical in this story. Why? Because you are in charge of figuring out this man's past and why he did what he had already done. You probably don't care about this, but how did you travel back into the 1880's? It is 2017, and you have to go back 129 years onto the year of 1888. Anyways, how did you get back there? You actually woke up there as your birthday wish.
It was a crisp, cool morning on the east coast. You enjoyed these mornings, especially since school was out. I mean, yeah... sure, you lived in a beach house, but.... sometimes you wished you had more work to do or simply more friends to hang out with. Almost half of the time, Jesse and Mike were out around the world and Cassy was with her up-tight family. So, you were stuck in your marble beach house, a palace on the beach. As a little girl, you were home schooled, even as a middle schooler. However, for your fifteenth birthday, you wished to go to a real highschool with real classes and real friends. Three days later, you were given a transfer to Eppingswodra Private School [EPS for short]. When you started to attend EPS, you were the outcast in the middle of the year. People stared and snickered at you, I guess you could say you were a black swan. Rare and not as beautiful as the others. You had hated the fact nobody even cared to help you get around the school, and you soon wanted to go back to being home schooled, secluded from the world. Until you met them, sure, they were nerds and not that-well-good-looking, but they were kind. They were Jesse, Cassy, and Mike. You met them at the cafeteria, where Cassy was walking about frantically looking for her lost binder, where Jesse was trying to act all cool for a girl, and where Mike was simply in line for food. You met Mike first, you were right behind him in line when he cracked a joke. Let me remind you, you were not considered a pretty girl in the ninth grade. You had short brown hair, amber-golden eyes, snow-pale skin, braces, and you were tall. All the wrong mix for you, but somehow, Mike was able to say a joke.
"Hey, hey, what do you call an unorganized group of cats?"
You were so focused on getting your food, that you were surprised someone was speaking to you. You weren't even sure if it happened. You pointed to yourself as if questioning him if he was talking to you.
"Yeah, you, silly."
"Oh, uhm.... I dont know.... are you referring to the girl though?" You asked.
"Yeah, she is a cat'tastrophee!"
You couldn't help, but to smile at his corny joke. He did the knee-slapper motion and pretended to wipe a tear from the corner of his eye and sighed.
"Oh man.... I am sorry, sorry to put you through that.."
"No, it's okay. I am surprised you even said something. I am [Y/N]. Pleasure to meet you."
"[Y/N]... hey, your the transfer student right? I can tell you ain't from around here. Are you? Sorry, I am Mike."
"Actually, Mike.... I have been home schooled until now. My mom told once she didn't want me to leave until I was beautiful like her. Now, obviously a miracle happened for me to leave...." You said as you trailed off, looking down.
"Hey, [Y/N]... you ain't that bad. You should meet Cassy and Jesse. Cassy is the girl with the missing binder... Jesse is ober there trying to woo that gal. Hey, you here ain't you? You should cheer up a bit. It'll all get better, promise."
No matter how much you wanted to believe in his promise, you couldn't. You nodded and he got his food. He waited for you as you got yours and then you followed him to a table in the back. The girl named Cassy was sitting there, staring at here hand, zoned out. Jesse eventually had given up on the girl and was making his way to the lunch line. Mike then tried to get Cassy's attention.
